Marlow finds new head softball coach

MARLOW, Okla. (KSWO) - Big changes are coming to the Marlow Outlaw Softball program, as Shelby Bumpus will be taking the reigns of the softball team.
Bumpus was an assistant for the Tuttle Softball team, who made it to the Class 4A State Championship game, but fell to Blanchard in the final and ended the season with a 36-4 record in fastpitch.
On the other hand, the Outlaws didn’t have the same success as they finished last season at 8-19 in fastpitch, and getting bounced out in regional play. Also, Marlow hasn’t had a winning record since the 2019-20 season.
The hiring was confirmed earlier on Monday, and she will make her coaching debut for the Outlaws later this month during summer ball.
