Class A Playoffs (toughest area?) BOYS

Area 1 in my opinion seems like the second most difficult but I’ll admit I most familiar with these teams. Seiling and Okarche will more than likely be the two to make state from this area, however, PCH, Texhoma, have sleeper/upset potential. I think this area is deep talent wise as Ringwood and Hominy even though not ranked are teams that just haven’t been consistent through out the season but do have athletes that are skilled.

Area II would be the most difficult. Sentinel and Drummond are your heavy weights. They’re solid. Canute has played some quality competition but had come up short in most contest (Texhoma, Sentinel 2x, Hooker, Duke, Ft. Cobb) All are top ten teams in their class. Allen is ranked higher but not sure their schedule has been more diffuse than Canute. Their biggest game has been against Stonewall, a game they lost by 24 to earlier. They get Latta and a rematch with Stonewall to prepare for the playoffs which is good. I think Shattuck is a sleeper and they have a solid win over 2A Hooker who was number 4 at the time. Shattuck won’t win but could be a surprise come area time.

Area III is top heavy with Rattan and Caddo but their bottom teams Wright City, V-A, and B-O don’t have as much upset potential as teams in Area I and Area II seem to have. I’m not saying I’d count out WC, V-A, or B-O but their schedules weren’t that difficult despite having good records. WC poses as the bigger threat of the three.

Area IV is my 4th least difficult area. Okay should roll. Stonewall will put their perfect record on the line in the area Championship game and will determine if they’ll be able to compete with Okay or if Okay is just that good. I like Drumright as more of a sleeper than Liberty. Ripley is tall and long but I think they shoot the three ball far too much to make any noise but I could see them hitting those shots and stealing a game.

I’ll admit Area 3 and 4, I’m not as familiar with those teams. Thanks for the insight. I’ll also be honest, i have a personal vendetta against Liberty, no not because they beat me back in my playing days. It’s more because every time I give them props they let me down.

I think you’re going to pick the area that is toughest with the teams you know most about because you know at least you want them to be competitive. Most teams NW don’t see teams NE, SW, SE so it’s very difficult to authenticate what teams in other areas are tough. I do appreciate the insight. Looking for some quality games this year.

I agree with your comments here itsthe90s . We are ALL biased, its human nature...and fun on sports forums. 

Rattan & Caddo are head and shoulders favorites in area 3, but don’t sleep on Wright City. Rattan & Wright City played tonight at Rattan and I heard it was pretty even most of the game. & Rattan made a couple more plays to keep a 3-5 point lead and then iced it with some free throws. Just something to possibly keep an eye on..

Yes in 2013 Arnett and Forgan were 1 and 2 and they stuck both in NW Area 1.
