This round is always the most exciting round. Kinda tells you which districts are the top dogs and which districts are yorkies.

If I’m Pawnee and you get Central Sallisaw in round 2, I like that matchup.

Oh I agree with matchups but the way it’s setup is by Districts. It’s in the second round you get the district champions against the district runner ups. We are talking about two completely different things here. Apples and oranges. It’s in the second round you see which district is better than others. A-2 has been pretty stinking awful the last several years. This year they have one of the more competitive district this year top to bottom, however, I don’t think their top team is as good as some districts bottom team is. The playoffs proved that last year. The playoffs have proved which districts are better than the other districts. A-1, A-5, A-3 have been the better districts over the last 6 years.

I also agree with everything you said about matchups. I’m not a big fan of how it’s setup but I’m not sure there is a better way. I don’t like the idea of having two teams that are considered top 10 play each other in round 2 when there are two other teams in RD 2 that would both lose to the loser if this game. Happens every year and it will continue to happen in the future.

There is a very good chance we see a top 5 match up in the 2nd round this year.
