I got to see them. Not as dominant in the run game, but they can air it out. Defense is still hard nosed and runs to the ball very well.

Love is God's grace made actionable. I pray for a complete season for as many of our kids as possible.

That running back they had last year was the kind you only get every 10 years or so. Kid was a hoss

Hooker/Fairview will be a good one to watch. Fairview doesn’t travel overly well to the panhandle. Jax Bernard is beast though and he will be tough to stop. For Hooker you need to watch for #6 Robinson. This kid is everywhere on the field and is only a sophomore. A lot of weapons for Hooker and an explosive defensive line. Win or lose for either team, you will be seeing them both in the quarterfinals if not the semifinals.

Agree 100% on Fairview, they look like they can go back to back, but I'm not sold on Hooker. Had a very bad showing last year against Hominy and lost a few really good players from what I heard.

As everyone already knows, Fairview dominated Hooker. It was a good, clean game, the players treated each other well, the officiating wasn't intrusive and the Hooker fans were courteous. That's all my take of course.
21-0 after 1Q, 42-14 at half. Fairview is definitely missing their RB from last year and is quite lacking in that department but the QB and receivers are a notch improved over 2022. If the Jackets have a weakness it's size up front. Well, that and the ridiculous 'watermelon' kickoffs that resulted in Hooker's worst field position of the night after a KO being from the 36. Hooker was stronger in the middle but couldn't overcome big plays. If it comes down to a grind-it-out drive to win a game Fairview will have to tighten up, and with that kickoff strategy, field position may play a part.
However...they won't be tested again for a while and should make the finals unless they get lax or have a key injury.
