What do they have coming back?? Idabel will b a lot better next year. Have a freshman coming up that is really good. They will have much better guard play next year. If there coach can get them in shape to play a whole game they could b really good.

Idabel will be one of the favorites next season. They return everybody except 1. Point guard Mercades Lopez will be a junior who avg 21 a game this past season. 6'6 post Mary Carden will be a Senior and will have one last go around at a championship. And from what I've heard there will be a few move that are very intriguing. One from across the river, and 2 siblings who used to live around here few years ago. Had moved up north and now have moved back. Idabel was young this past year, but next season's team should resemble more of the 2022 team where they made it all the way to the State Championship game.

I like my Lady Ironheads to be a top 10 team next year. A young inexperienced team brings everyone back. Yes, they lack height but their top scorer this year went from averaging around 2 points per game to over 13. Their best defender and one of the top steals ladies in 3A missed the entire 2022 season with a torn ACL. They had 4 Juniors, 3 Sophomores and the rest freshman this year on a team that went 9-10 deep in most games. They have to cut back on turnovers but with everyone returning, could be a team that could surprise even more teams next year..

The one from Broken Bow is already there and so are the Buffalo Valley girls. That 8th grader that played at BV next year will wind up being one of the better girls bball players to ever come thru McCurtain County. Idabel starting 5 on paper looks good enough to win it but that coaching........thats a different discusion!

The better question is how in the world are they getting all these "transfers" that can play recently? I know every school gets some but geez. You just said they got 3 that are all good. How and where do they come from? Serious question.

The other is from Broken Bow, she got major minutes as a freshman this year. Idabel should thank the lord BB cant get it together, they have benefited greatly from the athletes leaving BB.

As I understand it, there are definitely some issues afoot in BB. I watched the girl from BB as I was broadcasting games this year, I thought she was good enough to start, but definitely brought energy off the bench. I remember watching the oldest in middle school and she was pretty good back then. She averaged 18 ppg at Buffalo Valley this season and lil sis is the real thing.

He wasnt a janitor but he has 4 kids, 3 of whom are generational type athletes. Smart hire by Idabel.

Doubt it, im sure that is what was put on the form (Like Bullying) so she could be eligible immediately. Her brother will be a senior and he isnt moving. Her older bother was an all stater at BB 2 years ago.
