I think I have decided after basketball playoffs end I will probably not be very active on here like I usually am. I will still come on to update job boards and occasionally share highlights from games I covered but other than that probably not much else. I feel the need to expand my research and knowledge of HS sports beyond the boards and I've been meaning to say this for awhile but just haven't had the words to say. I had been looking for the timing to make this move throughout the year and I reckon after the state basketball tournaments would be the perfect timing. I know some on here think what I have to say is silly or stupid but you can't please everyone and I'm not gonna let anyone bring me down. I do wish the best for everyone on here and hope the best for the boards going forward.
huntersheppard I, for one, will miss your comments. You're a great asset to the boards. You will be missed. It's a pity more people can't disagree without being disagreeable.

Hunter my advice to a young man who seems to have a passion for high school sports is keep trying to find a way to make a living from it. Do not give you work away for free or sell yourself short. Try to get sponsors or a group like Skordle, National Federation High School Network, or even this forum, and get paid! Many people are making a lot of money of high school sports, and you deserve to get paid, too.

Hunter also needs to realize that in the world of sports there is always gonna be different opinions. You have to be able to handle that without getting emotionally invested. People have no time for another fan who gets their feelings hurt. Let it just roll off. Good luck to you.

He is more than just a fan. Sports are his livelihood and he is very good at what he does.
Your opinion only. Very few kids who are "hopeful" to be a reporter, media etc. are very good at what they do. That usually comes with time and experience. I hope he excels at it but it's no secret by a lot on this board that he wears his heart on his sleeve and gets offended by other opinions. Im sure I was the same at that age. Improve in that area and the sky is the limit. It's a tough field to be in. I wish him the best.
