Evaluation of teams (Class 2A Girls)

#1. Howe- Lost to West Memphis, 5A #3 El Reno, and 6A #4 Norman. The favorite for sure, but I don't think it's as heavy as we thought at the beginning. Them playing in 2 TOC's will benefit them and I don't think they will fall in the rankings unless Latta or AmPo were to beat Tuttle in the Bertha Teague. 

#2. AmPo- No losses yet. Best win is @ #4 Dale. They are good, but beatable. They will be tested this week at the Bertha Teague in Ada. I'm hoping they represent 2A well. If they can beat Tuttle and then win the BFT, they will have my respect.

#3. Latta- No losses yet. Best win is @ #4 Dale. They are good, but beatable. They will be tested this week at the Bertha Teague in Ada. I'm hoping they represent 2A well. They have the easier road to the finals with Tuttle being on the opposite side of the bracket. They also have the Kingston Tournament that features Dale, Silo, and Kingston.

#4. Dale- Lost to 2A #2 AmPo, 2A #3 Latta, and 3A #1 Jones. Starting to play well now that they have somewhat adjusted. Beat then #4 Silo (now #7). The Kingston Tournament could be huge for the Lady Pirates. If they win that that make a case for #3, possibly #2. The Cashion Tourney is another one they could prove themselves in. 

#5. Pocola- No losses. Good Win over #8 Hartshorne. I'm still not seeing how they can be better than last year. They lost a lot and I watched Dale beat them by 25. Maybe they can prove me wrong. If they beat Howe in the LCT I will definitely have a lot more respect for them. 

#6. Hooker- They make a case for top 4. Beat A #13 Garber and A #4 Okarche. They need to come play other teams beside NW Oklahoma teams if they want to get respect though. Let's face it they could be the best team, but they are out there and play teams no one has heard of. I have respect for them, but you can't compare their schedule. 

#7. Silo- Win over A #7 OCA and Lost to #4 Dale. Have one of the best post in the class. They have a chance to show themselves at the Kingston Tournament too though. Follow that up with a game at Latta the following Tuesday. Play some others later after the final rankings come out.

#8. Hartshorne-Lost to Pocola by 20+. Besides that they haven't done a whole lot. They have opportunities to get Pocola back, but that's about it. Thats the only bad thing about having a weak schedule.

3 TEAMS TO WATCH:

#9 Hinton- undefeated with some quality wins. Can the Comets keep soaring?

#14 Pocola- Almost pulled out a tournament win. The LCT will be big for the Indians. Can Pocola get over the Howe Hump and win the LCT?

#18 Mangum- I know they lost to Hobart and maybe Hobart should be here but I'm going with the Tigers. They returned a lot off a team that nearly sent Cashion to the if game. Can Mangum finally get to State?

Hooker vs Canadian was a great game. I believe Canadian is ranked #1 in their class in Texas.

Good chance to see AmPo vs Latta tomorrow. Latta has class B number 2 hammon today and AmPo has class A number 13 Frontier.

AmPo falls to Lomega by 5 and Frontier by 10. They were down by as many as 25. Latta falls to Perry 48-41. Perry was in control the whole game. Howe beats Booker T and Seiling. 2A girls isn’t haveing the week I thought they would. I expected AmPo to fair better in this. I thought Latta had the easiest road to the finals at BFT.

I feel like the rankings will be different for sure. Not sure how, but they will be different.
