Not much changed from last week in my opinion.
-El Reno and Carl Albert have sewn up their districts.
-Coweta @ Kelley and Collinsville @ Pryor are the games of the week. I like Kelley by 2 scores and Collinsville in a close one. Pryor had an impressive win last week and will be hard to beat at home though.
-Guthrie @ McGuinness will also be good game that i hope they get to play. Bluejays have had some horrible luck this year on that end. Will also be good measuring test on how good Guthrie really is.

Projected finish
Dist 1: 1-El Reno, 2-MacArthur, 3-Duncan, 4-Noble
Dist 2: 1-Carl Albert, 2-McGuinness, 3-Piedmont, 4-Guthrie
Dist 3: 1-Kelley, 2-Coweta, 3-McAlester, 4-Shawnee
Dist 4: 1-Collinsville, 2-Pryor, 3-Sapulpa, 4-Tahlequah

IF there were no upsets in the new "1st round" this year assuming the above finishes, wed get playoff matchups of

McAlester @ Pryor

Tahlequah @ Kelley
Duncan @ McGuinness

Noble @ Carl Albert
Sapulpa @ Coweta

Shawnee @ Collinsville

I don't think you have the first round correct. Your playoff predictions are right on for a 16 team bracket but now it is a 32 team bracket. From what I understand the top 4 in each distict will now have a home playoff game noting that if a team opts out it would give a district champ a bye. I have not seen read this officially but heard on radio coach talk show. Am I missing something.

ADDING A PLAY-IN ROUND: Week 19 in the OSSAA calendar (the 11th week of the football season) would be designated as the date
for a “play-in round.” (Games will be scheduled on a Friday or Saturday based on the availability of officiating crews. Teams may
mutually agree to move the game to Thursday.) All member schools currently in district play would be offered an opportunity to join
the playoff bracket. Play-in games would be paired between Districts 1 and 2; 3 and 4; 5 and 6; 7 and 8. Teams would be paired
(crossing districts) with 1-8, 2-7, 3-6, 4-5 with the higher seed hosting. (Member schools may “opt-out” of the play-in round by
notifying the District Chairman as soon as possible; deadline of noon on November 7. District Chairman will notify OSSAA by 1 pm
on November 7 what teams have opted out.) (The District chairman for each district is indicated by an * on the link 2020-21 and

Your not missing anything tfb, your correct.
Carl Albert and El Reno will get a bye because each of those district only has 7 teams competing this fall.
But everyone else will have to play in the 1st round games, 1vs8, 4vs5, 3vs6, 2vs7. (Unless teams opt-out. Which is yet to be determined.)
Then the bracket flows back into the same matchups that it was before.

My conclusion was the same as yours as far as second round. By the way you nailed it on Pryor. If the Buffs meet them it will be interesting.

That could be a really interesting game friday night in Pryor. If the Tigers were to pull it off they'd have come from basically out of the picture to win the district. The Ward kid at QB is really good.
Im just hoping for no more cancellations than theres already been. Its not trending in a good direction..
