Early predictions for the year (Going off what I know from sources and notes)
District 1: Shattuck, Laverne, Seiling, Turpin
District 1 is arguably the toughest the district, Shattuck is the favorite but we can't rule out Laverne and Seiling given their competitive history, That 4 spot is wide open right now so likely to change
District 2: Cherokee, Pond Creek-Hunter, Ringwood, Waukomis
District 2 I think is a two team race between Cherokee and Pond Creek-Hunter, Cherokee brings back a lot from last year according to sources, Pond Creek-Hunter can never be counted out, 3 and 4 appears to be lock but could change as the season progresses
District 3: Tipton, Waurika, Snyder, Cyril
District 3 appears to be a longshot outside of Tipton and Waurika, I pretty much think it's wide open after 1 and 2 but anything can happen
District 4: Velma-Alma, Alex, SW Covenant, Strother
District 4 outside of Velma-Alma appears to be wide open, Also the 2nd toughest district, Velma-Alma is in their 2nd year as an 8 man team, I'm told they was pretty young last year going 9-0 in independent play. I think they're poised to make a deep run, Alex and SW Covenant can never be counted out, The 4 spot is wide open so jury's still out
District 5: Dewar, Weleetka, Porum, Webbers Falls
District 5 outside of Dewar is a longshot and like District 1 it's not even close, Dewar returns most of their dominant offense and defense from last year, Dewar looks poised to make another deep run, Weleetka is slightly down but finds ways to stay competitive, Porum and Webbers Falls will be a game to watch closely as that one is a big rivalry and could predict the 3 and 4 spot, Porum has a young team but a promising young QB, Webbers Falls will likely be a wait and see team as the past couple seasons they've gotten off to a rocky start, I was told Wetumka is younger than last year but like Webbers Falls and Porum, They will be a wait and see team
District 6: Summit Christian, Gans, Keota, Arkoma
District 6 outside of Summit Christian is way down this year, Keota lost a lot but will still be in the picture somehow, Gans will be a wait and see team as they lost a lot and hired a new coach, Arkoma could finish 4th depending on if the rumors of the running back quitting are false, If it's true then most likely a 4th place finish, If false then possibly 3rd or 2nd
District 7: Barnsdall, Pioneer-Pleasent Vale, Covington-Douglas, Garber
District 7 is pretty wide open and personally it's hard to name a favorite right now, Will have to wait and see
District 8: Regent Prep, Davenport, Prue, Depew
District 8 outside of Regent Prep is pretty much wide open, I also haven't heard much on this district, Drumright could be an interesting team in their first 8 man season, Jury's out overall though
