Oklahoma City Public Schools announced Thursday the hiring of three new football coaches.
Derrick Adams will take over at Douglass, Anthony Robinson is being promoted at Star Spencer and Jeff Horrocks is returning to John Marshall. Horrocks announced his hiring last week.
Adams comes from Lancaster, Texas, where he was a line coach. A teacher and coach in Texas since 2007, Derrick obtained his Masters from Arkansas State after earning a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Sports Studies from McMurry University in Abilene, Texas.
Robinson has served as a coach at Northwest Classen and Douglass. He obtained both his Masters of Education and Bachelor of Science from Langston. Additionally, Robinson has volunteered with Oklahoma Special Olympics and served as a Boy Scout troop leader, among other volunteer work.
"While we do not know exactly what this fall’s season will look like, OKCPS continues to move forward and we are excited to have these talented coaches as part of our OKCPS family," OKCPS district athletic director Todd Dilbeck said in a release. "We know our students, coaches and community are eager to be back together and for the season to start."
