Football only class in Baseball

Of course not. But if a school was allowed to play Fall Basketball and Winter Basketball, there would likely be a clear advantage for the double basketball school playing against everyone else.

It isn't hard to see if there is an advantage - just look at the championships, or the state tourney brackets, or the rankings each year.



Schools that get to play two seasons of baseball have a clear advantage over schools their size that don't.



Does that mean new classifications will happen? Probably not, but it is hard to argue that there is not a definite and definitive competitive advantage for schools that play two seasons of the same sport.

If the OSSAA determines to move on the idea, I would certainly understand their actions.

An advantage that fall baseball schools have … that I never really hear mention … They also have a talent advantage over most. Some of the best baseball players in-state and out-of-state move to places like Roff, Leedey, Red Oak, Dale, Latta, Silo, Lookeba-Sickles, Oktaha, Asher, Rattan, Ft Cobb, Binger-Oney, etc. (Sorry if I missed any prominent ones )
If you are a baseball guy, why not??? Fall baseball is awesome.
