Is the pay at Bixby modern living wages??

That’s not true at all. The state pay scale is the minimum. Each district pays what they want as long as it’s not below minimum. Ex: a 5 year teacher with just a bachelor’s makes a base pay of $45,550 at Bixby, at Sand Springs it’s $47,045 and state minimum for that is $42,810.

5 year experience at Bixby is $48,550 plus teacher retirement.  The stipends at Bixby are very good too.  This information is directly off of their website.  Plus whoever gets these positions will more than likely work with the HS, become a better football coach and have a chance at a ring.  Compared to the Tulsa Schools, Bixby is one of the highest paying districts that a person can work for.  I think only Owasso has a higher compensation than Bixby.  BA and Union are close to the same amount of compensation.
