You also have to consider that Velma was without their best lineman (Cooper Paramore) during 5 or 6 of their games, he played against Dewar but was very hobbled in that game and missed another 3 games after that. He is killing it right now. Also VA was breaking in a brand new Sophomore quarterback after Mikey went down in the first game. They are still playing a backup center, nose guard, middle linebacker, and quarterback...now the only place that is truly hurting them is on defense as Mikey and Slade are both unbelievably good under center (in shotgun), the center is very good and was already a starting lineman, but Mikey was an awesome linebacker for this level and is really missed there. There will be a ton of points scored tonight. Velma has some really good receivers, especially Langston Walker who stepped up big time this year, Lyle has shown up big time in the playoffs as a running back and is running like his life depends on it. Velma has the edge on offense. Seiling on D. This will come down to a 60-50 type game where the team that forces turnovers and makes a couple of stops on 4th down per half will win. I am calling VA by 10.

You do understand Defense takes all 8!!! Playing the game and you have a MLB that is very close to breaking the school record!! He has over 140!! A lot of players don’t have that in a Career!! I happen to know some of the VA lineman really well and if you don't think they are gonna bring it tonight...you are in f9r a surprise...this 30-45 point spread is laughable. The injury bug won't be an issue tonight.

No doubt. Just think several Velma fans have been using the “our QB is injured” or the “our best DL has been injured” a little too much. It clearly has not affected the outcome of any games. I think Velma has been just fine.

Seiling by 20. Velma shouldn’t have even got past the 1st round if it wasn’t for their clock keeper saving the day, and then you have Seiling who just made it through the toughest side of the bracket.

Now, if Velma wins tonight they earned it and that debacle is moot in my eyes, because beating Seiling in the finals would be a massive win. But if Velma gets beat a couple touchdowns or more, this run they’ve gone on doesn’t impress me and it has a big asterisk on it.

Seiling has the better offense. Seiling has the better defense. Seiling has the best player on the field. Seiling seems more fundamentally sound. Seiling had a better SOS and still has a better record than Velma. The Seiling guys have experience playing in a state championship. The more I think about it, it would be a huge upset if Velma wins this. Still possible though, I think Velma is very good

Yes everything says Seiling should win this game by a few touchdowns. I also think Seiling probably wants it more getting there last year and not winning probably still on there mind, and Velma being a team of move ins not as a big of deal(which could also be a benefit not as nervous as Seiling). That being said this late in the year who knows! It's going to be fun a one.
