I'm not overly familiar with all of 3A this season. With that said my limited opinion has my top teams looking something like this. 1-Kingston, 2-Star Spencer, 3-Hugo, 4-Millwood, 5-Idabel, 6-Sequpyah, and I'm sure some of the other private schools as well as an Okmulgee or Centennial will be in the mix as well. What teams am I missing? What reams may I have too high? Any thoughts? Thanks

Good to see you on here Erock! Should we start our Kingston/Hugo bantering early this season...lol!! Saw both Idabel and OCS at John Marshall scrimmage yesterday. OCS not bad (bet they will be ranked) and Idabel played about the same as last season. I don't know how many they lost but I recognized most of them. They are athletic and seem to have good chemistry. Glad MSM went up to 4A and glad HH didn't come down (that was the rumor)!! One less obstacle on the way to that Gold Ball!!
Yes good to see ya on here as well fanball24. I do know Idabel is supposed to be returning most of last year's state tournament team. Hugo is returning all but one on the entire team from last year's semi-final squad.I know Kingston is returning all but one as well from a state finals team if I'm not mistaken. Yes, your Redskins are definately the team to beat. It's a tall order. Probably 7'0" tall by now I bet. Lol. Not to mention a very solid team all around. Good luck to ya and I hope to meet you guys in the playoffs. AGAIN.

Not quite 7' (6'11") and has put on 20 lbs. Move-in is Jr and is said to be better than Sr that graduated. Returning 7 seniors (4 starters) and a Fr that will get tons of playing time and will prob be 6th/7th man. Safe to say, if they don't do it this yr....OUCH!!!

Finally sat down and looked at the jumping around of the teams. Going by last rankings of the season, 3A lost #2, #4, #11, #12, #18 and #20. Gained 2 Private 2A schools that made State appearances (Crossings Christian and Christian Heritage), 2 2A's that made it to regionals (Community Christian and Kiefer) and Haskell (2A record 7-16). Gained 4A Blackwell (14-12), Sulphur (16-10), Metro Christian (20-8 lost 1st game in area), and Roland (24-4 lost semi State to HH).
Not sure how many of these teams have returning players. If returning their starters, Roland will be ranked high and Metro Christian will make an appearance in the rankings. Crossings Christian and Christian Heritage may also have a shot at being placed in top 20.
Thanks for the info. I'm not sure about some of these teams either but it should be fun regardless. I see that Kingston and Hugo are both in the T.O.C. this year. Along with Tulsa Washington, Tulsa Memorial, Putnam City West, Kingfisher, Ft.Cobb-Broxton, and Whitesboro I believe. How's that sound for an early measuring stick? Lol
