2A Boys Basketball = Dead Thread?

2A is way down and the worst it's ever been, You know it's bad when a 5-7 CHA team is ranked

Half of these teams wouldn't make State in Class A 

They are a private school and they need to be in their own class yesterday

Second CHA always underachieves and they haven't done anything since that cinderella run a few years ago

CHA hasn’t been same the last couple years, under.500, frankly an embarrassment for a private school these days, and they aren’t good but because 2A has been terrible the last three years a team like this and my boys from Hennessey have a chance to make state.
Not sure why 2A is so bad, teams like Pawnee, Wright City, CHA, Latta, Haworth, Silo, etc have all been down and the private schools like OCS and CCS and Crossings have all moved up.

I actually think this pretty true.  I see more parity.  It doesn't mean you are down if you dont have 5 teams that completely dominate.  Lots of hard working teams that have a shot.  Dale is ridiculous by comparison.  It helps that Shawnee is such a dumpster fire.

OCS with the Griffins? Won 5 consecutive state titles (two in 3A, three in 2A)

OCS Blake’s senior year is the best 2A team. That Pawnee team with Keiton Page as a junior is very comparable to Dale, I’d say Dale is a little better. OCS beat them by 31 in the finals.

What are the odds someone in 2A catches Dale on a off night in playoffs and makes the biggest upset in the state this year? When they played Preston a few weeks ago wasn't it close at half? It could be possible but the odds might be 1/10,000.

I really don't understand peoples hate towards Dale. They really are that much better than everyone in the class and they showed it on a National Stage representing OUR state. They beat a top 20 nationally ranked team and some of you casuals still don't respect how good they are. They play hard and the play for each other. Those guys are the real deal and there are some other  good 2a teams so quit trashing the class just because your jealous your teams cant compete anymore. Get your kids in the gym and get them somewhere where they'll be coached up the right way instead of dogging another school because they've got it figured out!
