Sorry, the subject line is kind of a clickbait. Bored at work today, and thought the forum could use some life. In light of the national media attention that OK is getting over the Weatherford - Anadarko basketball game, and people screaming for the addition of a shot clock. What rule changes would you make for Class A football in Oklahoma if you were the Emperor of Prep Sports for a day and no one could tell you no?
I'll go first> 1. Move the coaching/player boxes back to the 10 yard line like 2020. I thought it made the game more exciting for some reason, having the whole team down in the redzone. 2. In class A, I would allow 90's numbers to be offensive lineman numbers AND eligible receivers. With some schools having such small rosters sometimes player roles have to change roles and currently the rule states that 5 players on the field must have ineligible (50-79) numbers. Sometimes I might want to put a running back or a tight end in the game as a pulling guard without having to change their jersey. Any player, regardless of number can declare to be an eligible receiver for a play, but skill numbers can't become linemen without keeping an extra ineligible lineman on the field.
