Washington vs Kingston

Only reason I have Idabel is they got the easiest road to state. They are lucky to make it out of any other area. I was out on Purcell or Silo so a coin fillip determined it.

It's not their fault that they have the "easiest" road to state. They avenged their only loss of the season to Silo last night beating them by 10 in Silo's house.

I stand by what I said, Idabel doesn’t have the guard play and can’t keep their big on the floor long enough to make a difference. They are out in game one of the state tournament this year. What I have found out is Idabel is long on talk and short on performance.

How many idabel games have you watched this year?? And long on talk and short on performance they were state runners up last year put some respect in their names you right solo was better then they waxed silo at home it’s ok we all Have L takes sometimes and this wasn’t supposed to be Idabel’s year they lost 3 starters and are still very good and they don’t lose anybody this year either!

whoa chill my guy, you sound like you're mad that Idabel is #4?? I mean Noone from idabel is really talking trash on here. Their schedule is what it is and they're 19-1 so what it will all figure itself out come playoffs. That's quite of an accomplishment for a very young team. I think they have a good chance to get back to State and even win a game. Now Jones and Bethel will be very tough to beat. Washington ehh who knows they kind of remind me of Idabel last year. Showing up to State with no state tournament experience. Kiefer? I really don't know too much about them, that's if they get past Sequoyah Tahlequah who's starting to turn it on now.

It’s all about Location they play in tournaments they’re afforded idabel is 4-5 hours from these tournaments again I never said they were gonna win state all I said is put some respect on their names!!! And you haven’t seen them play these 4 teams to be able to compare I understand you like 4 teams better than them and that’s fine but you would be hard pressed to find another sophomore guard putting up the numbers Mercades Lopez is so I just feel like that was kind of a bad take

The potential for Eufaula v. Idabel girls could be a fun one after the football season fiasco. Eufaula has no height at all but goes 10-12 deep. Tallest girl MIGHT by 5'9". Force around 30-35 turnovers per game. May be worth the price of admission if we can get past Stigler and possibly Roland.

could be an interesting match up. Lady Warriors are down to like 7-8 players. 2 injuries that may sideline those 2 rest of the way. Really only 2 players that make Idabel go, PG Lopez and the 6'6 post Mary. Should be pretty simple to stop Idabel, but those 2 are really good and so far no one has really stopped that duo.

I was quoting basketballfordays. On this thread he stated Silo was definitely going to state. That statement contradicts what he said on a thread about Pocola. He said Pocola couldn’t even beat Hartshorne so no way they are going to state. Silo also lost to Hartshorne.

Why Purcell beats Silo, their overall body of work as prepared them to be better. No 2A, A, or B schools on their schedule and playing top 10 teams in 5a. I guess you could say Silo lost to Comanche so they wouldn’t have to play the eventual #1 Washington. Purcell played Washington twice.

Bartlesville would be pretty good in most other classes, they also beat the aforementioned Hartshorne in the finals of the Pick and Shovel Classic in Hartshorne. The Wampus Cat Classic isn't shabby either. I don't see them being scared to play anyone, there are already teams ducking us for next season so step on up.

Idabel makes the state tournament as an area champion. They just bracketed as the 5 seed. I don’t think they can beat some of the guard heavy teams like Bethel, Jones, Washington. Kiefer is the best match up for them to make the semis due to match ups, but Kiefer’s big has the edge with experience, and their guard play is more consistent than just one girl. I will eat crow if I am wrong.

Their record is what it is because our conference on the girls side was not very good so the good teams they played they got beat and silo will beat them mark it down

that's because they know Idabel will be very good next year. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year. They are very young. The 2 star players 10th grader Mercades Lopez makes the team go. She could very well wind up being a D 1 point guard when it's all said done. 6'6 post Mary Carden is a very hard match up for most 3A teams. Them 2 players kept Idabel going this year. I agree if Bartlesville was a 3A team they would be a top 10 3A team. They had some nice athletes. They whooped up on Paris, TX first round of the Idabel winter classic. Then beat a tough #12 Marlow team by 12 pts. They had Idabel down by double digits, before Idabel woke up and took over in the 2nd half winning by 15 I believe.
