I’ll say this about the refs during the Velma alma- Laverne game, almost after every play Velma alma players were tackling and hitting players after the whistle intentionally trying to hurt players. At one point I saw the white hat go up to the QB mid game after a dirty play shake his hand and hug him if that tells you anything lol
I know for a fact that didn’t happen why do you have to make up lies
Yea I was there too, at de. We just hit till the whistle blew.
In the first half alone of the VA- Laverne game the calls for Velma vs Laverne must’ve been at least 13-0 I don’t think they called a flag for Laverne until after halftime which made a big difference for Velma. How many players could they be missing they looked pretty healthy to me I wouldn’t call missing one player beaten up. And if you’re a true fan you’ve already watched seiling and Laverne play earlier this year down to the wire so the talent difference isn’t that big obviously
I just watched most of the first half, and I'm trying to figure out what the hell you're talking about.
I was skipping forward between plays, so I might have missed a couple, but the penalties were damn near even.
I did see a couple penalties on Laverne that were head-scratchers (holding on the center, and a facemask on a defensive lineman), but there certainly wasn't a huge discrepancy in the number of penalties.
I was there in person and watched it live, the official embraced and patted the qb on the head during the game whether y’all want to believe it or not. It’s probably on film too but the only reason in saying this is that I believe in my own opinion that officials are getting payed to go out there on the field and call a fair game. They are expected to do their job just like everybody else on the field
Yea I was there in person too playing on the field😅, so nah we ain’t dirt we just play till the whistle
VA lucky they got on the road they did to get as far as they did…
Felix Teal is the only reason we are in the state championship and he Carrie’s our entire team and coaching staff. Thank god for Felix or I wouldn’t have a job.

So after watching the first half again, I can only assume that you're being sarcastic here.
First half penalties:
Laverne - 5 Velma-Alma - 6
I don't know what game you were watching...
Also, like I said before, not a single late hit (unless you want to count the one onside kick late in the fist half, but that was questionable at best.
And lastly, the horse-collar you mentioned in another comment... it's only a penalty if the player is pulled to the ground backward or sideward. The Laverne player fell forward as he scored on that play.

Does anyone know what happened in the Seiling OBA game? Injuries or anything?
Winds were gusting at 55mph peaks which took away any and all hope of deep passing plays for both teams so Seiling went old school. Lined up and hit them in the mouth.

OBA only moved the ball when they got Seiling spread out. The win took that away. Seiling was able to load the box and that was it. They had a good game plan and were able to adapt to the weather better.
Do you have the list of bad/missed calls on your team? I’m guessing Velma never held or did anything wrong?
Did I say they were only from one side??? No I did not. One horse collar was done to Teal as he was about to score. 5 holds we committed. One face mask we committed. So I was stating FACTS. The refs were not that good. I never said that #77 was a Scholarship. I reread the post, that was never said. He was invited and visited. They want him, enough said. Laverne had its last victory tonight. Again, congratulations to them. On another note, injuries are part of the game. They happen and you deal with the hand your dealt. Regent had there best player knocked out during our game with them. Then we lost 2 of ours. It's football it happens. Turpin had injuries, it happens. So did We, and personally I thought we played well. I was at the game! That Teal kid is an amazing athlete. He has serious skills. But if he goes down, Laverne is done! So everyone can bash Velma all you want, I am proud for these boys and the season they had. We will be back..
Well so much for Laverne being done and Weleetka being their last victory haha hope y’all have enjoyed basketball.
VA lucky they got on the road they did to get as far as they did…
Looking back on this I don't think they were, they dominated a really good regent prep team all over the field whether or not you think regent should've won because their best player was Hurt I think they didn't lose as much as velma that game velma had 2 starters go out and one was their best player.
As for turpin they got blown out by an average ringwood team that VA blew out of the water at halftime, turpin lost 1 starter and the wheels fell off the wagon and they were god awful without him, even with him they blew out very weak competition the only win that's decent they had was balko forgan and they're an average team
Laverne just earned the win nothing to complain about from an outsider looking in, Velma had the better overall team but laverne just had the best player and that night he was on his A game
