Jones the 2 time defending champs are clearly the favorite again. They return almost everyone from last year. Outside of that, I wouldn't know where to rank the teams. I'm sure Lincoln, Perry, Luther will all be good again. Idabel may not be as good as they were last year, but they'll still be good enough to be top 10 I believe. 6'6 Mary Carden is still there for 2 more years. Mercedes Lopez will be a sophomore and they add in a talented 8th grade group.

Jones is hands down best in 3A, They bring everything back plus gain a talented freshman group. Don't be surprised if they get the three-peat, LC will be 4A. Luther and Perry are top 5 team, I can't speak for Idabel but they should be top 5 based on what they bring back

Don’t be surprised to see Washington as a 20 win team in 2022/23. At some point during the season they will probably walk 3 sophomores and 2 freshman onto the court as starters. They will be underestimated because of depth.
Bethel will be among the top teams in the state. They bring back everyone, the freshman will be a sophomore and they bring in a talented freshman. Washington was young last year so expect them to be much improved Sequoyah Tahlequah is the team that I am not sure anyone knows what they have
1. Jones 2. Bethel 3. Perry 4. Luther 5. Idabel 6. Kiefer 7. Silo 8. Washington 9. Purcell 10. Comanche
I will give you Purcell because Coach Cooper is a stand up guy. I hope he can get them where they need to be. Got to watch parents close on this one and see how he handles them. With his Swarm experience I think he will be fine.
Not sure on Comanche I may have went with Sequoyah T as an outside chance.

Comanche had a few girls that transferred to Empire(A) this year.

I live in Duncan, but attend several games in our area, Comanche will be tough. They have a point guard who signed with UCO. She’s legit, they also have a very good scorer. Marlow will be a tough team to beat also. They have a new college coach taking over the program. 3A will be loaded come playoff time. Bethel, Silo, Jones, Idsbel, Kingston…..who will they split up?

Not sure on Comanche and their PG. There are a load of great PGs in 3a this year Perry, Jones, Washington, Purcell, Luther all have great points. The question will be which one will carry their team the best. Perry may have the best of the lot. I have seen her play over the summer and she wants the ball all the time. The later three are all underclassmen and their D is pretty top notch to go with their O. Marlow has some good returning starters including the Wade girl, but she will not be able to deliver against better teams. She will try and do too much herself. Bethel will be tough as well just don’t know much about them right now. Idabel will be okay but who isn’t when you have a 6’6” player on the girls side. Kingston will be tough, but won’t make it out of area. Silo has always been tough in 2a and will make an easy transition into 3a.
Looks like if someone wants an early preview 6 of the estimated top ten will be in action this weekend in Moore for early scrimmages. Jones, Luther, Silo, Purcell, Washington, Comanche, and Kingston.
So how did the Moore scrimmage turnout? How did the better teams end up doing?
Jones Idabel Bethel Luther Perry Kingston Comanche Washington
Anyone able to fill us in?
Jones looked really good once again, Of course they have everyone back. Washington was really young but they held their own against Jones and Silo and they beat Comanche in one half like 27-6
Didn't get to see the other teams as I was at Moore High

Jones is advertised, Silo lost both halves to Jones and Washington, but beat Comanche for two halves. Purcell held their own and looks like Toney has them ready to compete.
