My pick is Red Oak vs Sterling. What are you picking?
Canute and Red Oak is very likely as other have stated
If Sterling can save their ace they can make some noise but then again they threw him in first round last year, Now Hydro and Vici if they can get in are two heavy sleepers
Canute V Red Oak. Canute will cruise on Thu. Those other 3 games though could go either way. Sterling will have to go through Dewar and Canute before getting to Sat. I dont see how they can save their #1. If im Sterling, I treat Fri like its the finals. I think Red Oak has the arms to get thru Thu and Fri.

I like Red Oak for it all, seems like they have the arms to get thru. I also like Pioneer as a sleeper, just not sure if they can save their #1 (Parker).
Canute seems solid, I want to see a Mooreland vs. Canute and see how the Sampson brothers (Mooreland) do against Canute.
Pioneer will make it out of Regionals. But thats it. They would have to beat Red Oak, Rattan and Canute to win it. Even though Red Oak doesnt swing it real well, theyll beat Pioneer.

Pioneer lost to Perry last night, but obviously Parker did not pitch. It will be interesting to see how Pioneer uses Parker for pitching.

It looked like Pioneer was trying to get a couple innings for each of their pitchers. Their starter was pulled after the first two innings, the second pitcher gave up 5 runs, then pitcher switched again. Used 4 pitchers total and besides the 5 runs given up in the 2nd, only 1 other run was scored. Like you said Parker was their only main guy who didn’t throw.

Yeah, that Perry game seemed like more of a scrimmage/exhibition than a real game. Pioneer came out flat and lethargic and never really could put it together. It was probably a good wake-up call for them. It'll be interesting to see how they handle the pitching situation next weekend (assuming they make it through their regional). Their 2 & 3 are good, but not on the same level as Parker. No one wants to go home with their ace still on the shelf.
Looks like it's Canute vs Red Oak. I missed on the Sterling pick. After visiting with several of the Sterling faithful now I understand why they will never win even with the talent. They say the coach absolutely never practices on the field. Not a single defensive practice all year. He just sends them to the indoor batting cages. Sounds like they have lazy coaching. I won't pick them to win any big games anymore 😂

I read this board for the comic relief mostly. But yes sir you are exactly right about the Sterling coaching. I played softball back in the day at sterling and it really makes me furious to know the baseball coaching is this terrible. Those boys deserve better. Anything is better than what they have now. It's really just too bad the last few classes won on talent alone. You can really tell the boys have not improved they actually are getting worse. Hopefully the old man will retire soon. He should!
What I can't figure out, is how the Register kid beat and won so many games and competed against tough teams... Did he just not have it that day against Dewar? One of the reasons I went was to see him pitch. I'm not trying to rag on him at all. Seems like a great kid, just wondering if something was wrong with him that day.. On the subjects above, it did seem like there was a lot more coaching going on in the Dewar dugout than in the Sterling dugout. Did Sterling not scout Dewar and know that they were a pretty good bunting team most of the year?
You sterling people are are a comedy. On here all year talking about how good you were. Parents and players posting on social media how good you were. Then when you lose, it’s the coaches fault. Get a clue my gosh. If you played at Sterling you know how you ran off a darn good coach that’s winning down the road. You guys wanted it this way. Soft coaching. Easy practice. Don’t be mean. Now you get it and you complain . How bout you just say Dewer was better than you. Just say you got your tails kicked. If you people would worry about getting better instead of talking jive on social media you may do something. When is the last time Sterling won a playoff game? Now you get on here and trash the coaching. Dewer beat you. Wasn’t the coaches fault. Embarrassing
listen Jacob myself or any of these kids or parents did not run off Morgan. Most of this bunch was in tball at that time. I gaurantee most people in this town nowadays would love to have Morgan. Absolutely agree with you on that but do not say we only want the current coaching gone because of this lose. Win lose or draw he needs to go because he doesn't practice at all.
Sterling has the worst coaching by far. I have know idea how that fella keeps his job but I love it. 😄
well I also can't imagine him keeping his job but who knows? How a baseball coach just simply does not have organized practices on a baseball field is outrageous. Sad for those players really.

so I heard the old coach at sterling screwed up and cost his team a win in the labor day tourney by over pitching a kid. They had to forfeit a game they won on the field against Arapahoe. My goodness coaching in sterling is terrible. Lolol

All that is funny but not as funny as the person that turned it in. Isn't that right BL? Scared to play sterling nowadays are ya? How the mighty have fallen🤔
