First of all congratulations to Dale. Finally got that monkey off their back. #33 was easily the best player on the court and Cashion lived and died by the 3. Toward the end when down 3 I guess they felt they HAD to try and tie it but there was plenty of time left. Outside of these 2 teams 2a was pretty bad but a good tournament nonetheless.
I agree about that monkey. Sometimes that 1st one is the hardest! It took freshman and sophomore’s who didn’t know they were supposed to be tight and scared in the big house. Dale will be a contender for awhile. I had to listen to the Cashion guys call the game on Skordle! Wow! But I didn’t know where to find a non biased feed so it’s what I had. Probably best 2 ended where they should have this year. Time for baseball…
Definitely a dynasty in the making. With most of the other big graduation losses there will probably be few if any that could really challenge them the next two years.
Beyond Proud of those Pirates!! All the pressure was on Cashion. The senior group the last Chance etc. Our young guns forgot they were “too young,” “a year out,” & “undersized.” I’m not taking anything away from Cashion, because they were the second best team and them game could’ve gone either way. That group of seniors was a great group. The Kings of 2A are them Cornfield Kids! And Classof68 I’m so glad we can finally shut you up!!!!!! Go Dale!!!!!!!
33 is a helluva ball player. His supporting cast is really good and will only get better. Jeff coached a great game. If they stay healthy gonna be tough to beat next couple years
Shut me up? Lol. Um halfway thru the year I picked Dale to win and stated if they didn't then something was majorly wrong. I mean it's great and all that Dale finally won one but this is the worst 2a has been in a looooooong time. Just be happy right now you have went from the Buffalo bills to the Michigan wolverines ( 1 title the past 70 years). Can they go back to back? 3 peat? Unless the class gets drastically better then they should. But anyway daleyeah let's remember I was the first one here showing y'all some love.

If millwood don’t drop to 2a they might go back to back.there’s no really talented super athletic teams in 2a to cause them a big threat that I know of. But it’s hard to win 1 much less start talking bout 2/3 in a row. I’m with 68 a state title is a state title and u play the people In front of u. That’s all u can do. But 2a is down. That don’t even matter though I would b as proud as I could b to if I was dale. I’m happy for dale there boys seemed like a good group of kids that play the game the right way and they earned it. 68 u no of any teams moving up or dropping down possibly that could challenge them next year??
Sorry man I thought I had replied. I mean like everyone is saying I would expect Millwood to be the co favorite IF they drop down. Does anyone know how many senior starters they had?
I believe they went about 12 deep in most games with 4 or 5 seniors on varsity. I think toward the end of the season they were starting 2 or 3. In my opinion there best player is the 6’4” Freshman guard and Hunt and Strong are Jrs plus the freshman that hit the state winning 3 at the buzzer. They should have there best team in quite a few years.

I don't know if they will be 2A, but I know they are in our tournament next year. Millwood, Dale, OCS, Kingston as well as some others. Should be a fun one next year in the ship.
