@oldblue760 Tscfan12 Either of you guys have thoughts on this one?
Turpin is very underrated. They’ll push for a state playoff spot. I mentioned this in an earlier forum. They’re only two losses are to 2A #4 Hooker. One by 12 and the other by almost 21. Don’t be shocked if they make state. 20-2 record and they’re not even ranked coming into districts. Schedule wasn’t real tough but they can play.

But you also have a Garber team that got hosed in the rankings that in my opinion might be more battle tested

Yup. Garber struggled early but finished strong. Schedule wasn’t that tough in my opinion. Both Turpin and Garber are underrated and not appreciated.

Garber has the experience from the last two years of back to back State Tournament appearances
Garber played Cashion, 2A #4 Hooker, 3A #17 Alva, 5A #17 Will Rogers, 3A #16 Purcell. Those are good teams technically they do have a better SOS
One thing they have in common was your Lady Bulldogs beat both of them
I have to give the advantage to Garber cause like I said they have all but one back from last year and they have back to back state tournament appearances

Anyone else see that Turpin knocked off #8 Frontier
I was at this game -- Knew coming in Turpin is very underrated, but also knew the strength of schedule that Frontier had played.
First half -- Very close contest, back and forth, but you could tell Frontier was somewhat flustered, Turpin never changed. Second half -- Turpin kept getting stronger, making shots, etc. and Frontier just didn't
Seeing the talent Frontier has, I think they were not on their game last night, but watch out for Turpin. They are an older bunch of girls that have been playing varsity for 3-4 years now, Coach Smalts has came in and fine tuned somethings off a good team from last year.
I can see them beating Arapaho-Butler, and playing Seiling for the Area Final. Seiling will be way too fast for them I think, and then it become a toss up who they get Saturday night at the Stride Center. They will give whoever is left a run for their money for a chance to go to the State Tournament.

It’s a shame that the final rankings are Jan 8th. Way to early in the season, especially for those schools who play football. Why do they have to end so early?
Crazy ballgame! I am not sure I have ever witnessed a game like that. Credit to Arapaho for continuing to fight as they had to go deeper and deeper into their bench. At the end of the night, Turpin found a way to win it... I personally think Turpin/Garber will be a GREAT GAME!
