No fluke. Cashion and Morrison are more experienced. I've been saying it all year! I'm gonna possibly predict Pocola to beat Dale in the Semi finals. I'll wait til Regionals to make my picks.
Cashion beat Morrison without Jonah Jenkins and he's clearly the difference maker. I'm not necessarily sold on Morrison as a title favorite. I respect what they have but I think Pocola could be the darkhorse we're not talking about. Similar to Howe boys last year
I'm definitely not a fan of Cashion, and have never even been to Morrison. Those were my picks at the beginning of the season and I'm sticking with it. I have heard really good things about Pocola though. Love the playoffs!

Jenkins played against Morrison.
I didn't catch that game. The game against Dale was first one I've caught in awhile

I don't think anyone likes Cashion according to oldblue and a few others

Pocola is legit
Cashion is the New England patriots of Oklahoma 2A Basketball/Baseball/A football. That’s just a fact.

The way I see it I'm sure Cashion fans don't care that people hate them they probably play with the "us vs the world" mentality. You see teams do this a lot

Cashion had Jonah Jenkins and their big 3 against Morrison. It was a well played game and Jenkins was in double digits I believe. Along with LaGlasse and Frazier being the leading scorer
How’d Silo drop to Pauls Valley Jackson Hewitt I need a report!
Paulsvalley came out on 🔥🔥🔥 silo over looked them for sure. Game was really physical silo had 7 fouls against them in the 1st quarter and where running a zone most of the quarter before paulsvalley ever got a foul called on them. Had most of the starting 5 in foul trouble before halftime never got in rythem offensively beacuse of it Just a bad game for Silo and paulsvalley played out of there minds good. It happens.

Cashion is the New England patriots of Oklahoma 2A Basketball/Baseball/A football. That’s just a fact.
Blue I will give you football; but, only 4 trips to the state tournament in the history of the school for baseball & basketball is hardly the New England Patriots.

It’s not about the number of state tournament trips. Dale/Latta had a 20 year or so run winning state tournament in baseball and I never heard anyone say anything close to how people talk about Cashion. Over the last several years Dale/Latta has been pretty decent in basketball and still haven’t heard anyone absolute say anything too dicey about the schools. Even Wewoka…who is always a perineal power in 2A basketball. People love to hate Cashion. It’s unreal.

Oh, I see what you are saying; it is Cashion vs 2A world and not about the success of the program. Why do people love to hate Cashion? I can understand Dale people, because Dale boys seem to have struggled over Cashion last 3-4 years. Honestly, I have been around 2A sports for over 30 years but never really cared about 2A football (which appears Cashion plays at A?), and I never heard of Cashion until last couple 3-4 years. So, as far as I am concerned, and no disrespect, Cashion is a little fish in the big pond of 2A sports. Sounds like to me it is more about the school, fans and program, because from a baseball & basketball standpoint, Cashion has done nothing to earn respect as a program. Also, you said Latta has been "pretty decent" in last several years? I think winning 3 state championships and 1 state runner-up since 2013 more than "decent". They are down, now, but should be back in year or 2 to being a state tournament type program. Dale has been more than decent, too.
I had never been to a Cashion athletic event until last night against Watonga. I had always assumed that people didn't like them because of their recent success in sports, and they win a lot. Man, I was wrong, I witnessed first hand why they are disliked. Terrible sportsmanship at the end of the game from players, fans, and students. Incredibly arrogant. Sad, really.
Agreed PCF. It's just comical how they act when they beat our boys. When we win or beat someone it's just another day, but when someone beats us you better have the confetti cannons ready and you better post the scoreboard on twitter. Or we have to talk about how Dale doesn't have a football program. Have they beat us a lot in recent years? Yes, but if you look at comparing the two it's interesting. I'm pretty sure they've never even won their own tournament and we've won it three of the last 5 years. Another stat that's interesting is this next few:
Dale Boys Basketball State Tourney Appearances: 14 Dale Boys Basketball State Tournament Wins: 11 Cashion Boys Basketball State Tourney Appearances: 4 Cashion Boys Basketball State Tournament Wins: 1 Dale Sophomore Class State Tournament Wins: 1
But I'm done talking about them, because let's be real that's all they want.
Oldblue, You didn't hear about Dale/Latta baseball, because winning was the norm. You don't hear me talking about the 22 baseball state championships because what is that doing for us these days? Absolutely nothing. Why football gets brought up in a basketball forum is beyond me. It's like me bringing up the success of our softball program in the girls basketball forum, No relevance.

Can you be more specific about what kind of things happened at the end of the game? I couldn’t really see anything on the live stream.
I wasn't at the game and didn't catch anything on the live feed. Maybe I'll go back later and watch closer. But just speculating here...Watonga is a pack of thugs from top to bottom and it's possible Cashion had some pent up anger that got released when they ended up winning the game. No, that's no excuse to waller in the $h!t with the pigs but it happens. So back to basketball, I've mentioned Watonga as a dark horse and they definitely have the talent...but they play without discipline and structure and occasionally seem to ignore their coach. I'm no fan of Cashion but they battled back for the W the day after a tough game with Dale, in large part due to the disorganized nature of Watonga.
