Morrison is going to have to travel to a different area regardless. If they go SE then Cashion stays in the NW. It wouldn't really make a whole lot of sense to move them both to other areas when they are just one spot from each other in the rankings. And neither is hooked to their girls like Dale and Pocola.

I doubt Morrison goes SE. They'll likely go to Area II but it depends on what they do with OK Union boys and Howe girls
I think Cashion could do what Minco did in 2019 (Area IV that year was Minco and Rock Creek on boys side while the girls side was Latta and Hartshorne)
Hinton boys are #6 and Watonga boys are #8. There is absolutely NO chance they will be in the same area.
Never know what the OSSAA will do
They will NEVER do that. There would so much hell from teams in the Top 4 they would never hear the end of it. Zero percent chance it happens. You might as well throw out the rankings all together and just pair by location like that use to in the old days.

Maybe they should pair by location. Too much buddy system in rankings anyway

They’ve done it often. Our boys were ranked #3 and Hooker was ranked #1 and we played each other in the Area Championship. That was 2019.

Looks like Dale was #4 that year (according to OSSAARankings) but your point is still taken with #1 and #4 in the same area. I am not sure if I would say that it is done "often" but it has definitely been done as this shows.
