Well it definitely wasn't on Idabel's end, they were ready to go up there and give Howe all they could handle. They are number 6 now, so a loss to Howe wouldn't drop them I don't think. If anything it might solidify their spot in the top 8 had the game been close. As far as their 2 losses, Liberty Eylau is one of the top 3 athletic teams in the Texarkana area who play a bunch of teams that are similar to them. Liberty Eylau is a top 10 team if they were an Oklahoma team. You're correct on howe being more battle tested with more playoff experience though. And depth too. Idabel's started 5 is as good as anybody in class 3A. They're playing good defense and starting to gel as a team at the right time of the year. I don't think anyone would want to see them come playoff time

Pelican that’s just dumb to assume Howe didn’t play because there scared. Don’t matter if the game was scheduled for 2 years if the officials cancel and u can’t find a replacement. If Howe was scared to play people they wouldn’t go to the tournament of champions in Arkansas and Oklahoma.

If this game was a makeup game or postponed from another date, i could understand not having officials but it wasnt. This game has been on the books for over a year and there is no way they didnt have refs scheduled already. Obviously Howe wouldnt have fell out of the top 8 with a loss, but losing back to back games couldve knocked them out of the top spot, with Idabel holding only a 2 point difference between 8 & 9 They could have. Both teams possibly had something to lose by playing this game.

I agree with bigdog23 personally that's dumb of you to assume Howe is scared to play them. You must be a fan of one of Idabel's rivals

You cant find one post where i said they were "scared" to play. That word was never typed by my fingers. There are games that refs dont turn down. Teams you dont turn down & coaches you dont turn down. Howe and Coach Brown are as good as it gets. 2A #1 vs 3A #6 could find 2 referees if they wanted to. Im not saying im right, maybe im wrong. But i dont think my opinin is to far fetched.
