Same question was posed in the fast pitch section, got me thinking.
Who are some of the best boys basketball coaches in the state? (Active) Regardless of class.
Scott Hines at Ft. Cobb would definitely be in the conversation, Doug Schumpert at Anadarko is pretty good as well, Kirk Graham (I know he's a girls coach at Anadarko now but he had a lot of success with boys at Carnegie) Rick Gore at Hydro-Eakly and Fletcher Reed at Garber, Bobby Allison at Tulsa Memorial, Nick Gable at Duke, Lance Carpenter at Leedey, Jared Reese at Kingfisher, Dirk Walden at Oktaha (Won titles at Preston and Stringtown) Ron Dunaway at Westville (Had a lot of success at Stilwell awhile back) to name a few
I would have to put Jon Hurt at Vanoss and Jon Hadley at Varnum in the conversation. Doug Scott at Ripley is up there for me. Edmondson at Dale is really good as well.

Those are three more I had just thought of a little bit ago

Surprised you didn't add Gable at Duke or Gore at Hydro those two are pretty good as well

Gore does a really good job, personally I don't think Gable does a particularly good job. Think he's been fortunate to have really good talent.

Honorable mention, Todd Kerr at Hooker.
Kerr is another good one. My list was just first names that came to my head, didn't mean to omit anyone.

Talent makes all the difference!!!! Check and see how Reese's teams did at Blackwell before he went to Kingfisher. Not saying hes not a good coach, but he's had some dudes.
Think you also need to realize Allison at Memorial didn't have the greatest resume when he was at Morris but then when he went to Memorial he had some great teams just like Reese going from Blackwell to Kingfisher
