I was really surprised by the Perkins score as well and was curious what went wrong for Perkins. That Cushing/Berryhill game should be a good one for sure.
It wasn’t necessarily what went wrong for Perkins, rather Cushing is just really good. This honestly shouldn’t have been that surprising. Cushing beat them by 20 last year at their place and they lost an All-state QB. Cushing basically returned everyone except for their Running Back/MLB.
Also Perkins made no adjustments. As was already stated, they thought it would be a good idea to do what OSU has done in the past and stand up all defensive lineman and have them moving around to try and confuse the o-line. This cause them to be out of position. Cushing also ran the ball MUCH better than they did week 1. Finally, their DBs played way off all night. I couldn’t tell you how many times Cushing stood up and threw bubble to the slot receiver in twins formation. They’d get anywhere from 8-30 yards by just out-athleting them.

I don't know much on Berryhill, I know a couple years in a row they got a tough draw on the first round
This is because Berryhill hasn’t won their district in a few years. Always having to match up with Stigler or Seminole which have been solid the last few years as well. I don’t see it changing this year either because I think Holland Hall wins that district.
Their district is extremely tough with Holland Hall, Verdigris and Vinita. They've been out of the talk for a few years, but they did travel to Seminole last year for first round playoffs and won 35-0, that's when they started this years QB over the 2 year starter and moved him to WR.

How good has he been at WR? I've seen this at many teams where one QB will move to WR or TE and the backup will usually be the starter, I know down here we had a QB that converted to WR his freshman year

But yeah I see a few QBs here and there switch positions, Ringling had a backup QB that switched to TE/FB and Cashion had a WR that played QB up until HS
