I would have like to have seen what the rankings looked like yesterday, after last weeks play?? I still think it is Canute and Ft. Cobb-Broxton in the driver's seat with Wister at #3. I am not sure if the rest of the field would be able to compete with these 3 teams in 1 vs's 1 and 2 vs's 2 pitching matchups. Sterling has a good record but their best win would be over a 14-7 Navajo team or 14-9 Fletcher (nothing in their schedule has stood out to me).
It appears Wright City and Rattan have fallen off a bit, although both have played good quality teams. Pioneer-Pleasant Vale hasn't played a very good schedule, with their best win being over Navajo or a 4 run loss to Ft. Cobb. And I am not sure about Vici?
With all of that being said, I think the 4-8 ranked teams will have tough regionals to win. I would say that teams #4 through #20 are pretty evenly matched.

I think Vici, Sterling and Pioneer get beat out in regionals.
Sterlings best win is over Atoka. Wright City can beat someone good, then get drilled the next. So who knows with them. The top 8 seeds will go either 7-1 or 8-0.
BaseballJunkie, lets look back at this in about 3 weeks. Vici and Sterling will roll through their Regionals. Pioneer may be the one ill agree with you on, depending on the matchup. Sterling will likely get run-ruled on Thu by Wister. Vici will be a dog fight with Rattan. But they both will easily get thru their Regionals. Largely because of how bad the class is towards the bottom end.

Dewar is a team I don't think anyone is talking about, With the right draw they could be a hard out, Remember they only lost to Roff by two runs, Also Wister has the pitching to possibly hang with Canute or Ft-Cobb
We played and lost to Sterling, cobb, Canute. Here to tell you that on that day we played Sterling they were the real deal. I see that the mudcats head coach (baseballjunkie) and the ftcobb assistant coach (rickvaughn) are haters on sterling but they have a few studs in sterling. I guess we shall see what happens.

I don't have a horse in the race on this but I'm not sure how they would match up against Wister who like Canute and Ft-Cobb has some elite pitching

Sterling is not very good. They don’t even belong in the same sentence as Canute and Ft. Cobb. Sterling only has one kid that could even play for those two teams. What team are you referring to when you say “we” played?
Not that it is important but we is Fletcher. All I am saying is on that day they looked every bit of it. Hell its baseball anything can happen. I mean we were tied up in the 6th inning last week with Canute?

I’m not “hating” on anybody and I’m dang sure not a coach of any kind. Canute has won the last 2 meetings with FCB and had only lost to Roff in the last 40 or so games. Roff isn’t on the schedule again. Canute is the team to beat until someone else in the Class shows they can do it. There are a few teams that are capable. Sterling isn’t one of them.

Canute threw a kid that hasn’t pitched an inning all season. Didn’t wanna waste pitching
