A few I can think of that should be pretty good next year.
I wasn't quite sold on Earlsboro this year but I like what they'll bring back, I was impressed with Tyrone and Forgan in the State Tournament and both played really well on both sides of the ball, What does Cyril bring back? I know they'll lose Big Solider and I don't remember if Hart is a senior or not, Buffalo Valley will most definitely be back in the mix, Roff will be back as well though they'll lose Miller and Joplin, MVG will definitely be known this year, They flew under the radar a big majority of the season, I'll need some time to evaluate Stringtown

Roff loses a bunch. They aren't getting back. BUffalo Valley, Earlsboro, and Forgan will be really good. You may watch what happens with Forgan though as far as kids returning goes. We'll see if those that can come back do. Cyril loses a bunch. They'll be solid enough to get back to the Big House, but they wont have near enough to win it. This year was their best shot for the foreseeable future.

Cyril brings back 3 -two year starters, Hart being one of those, and two others who started a lot of this year. They do lose Bigsoldier who is a rough one to lose but not the hit a lot of teams are taking like Varnum and Roff. They will be competitive.
From what I saw watching Earlsboro at the area tournament leads me to think they still need to work on discipline. Two boys quit during the area finals game (at least they walked off the court/bench). One received a technical foul early in the first half (freaking kicked the ball out of frustration?? and he was a senior). One (a junior) was suspended form the area tournament for school related issues. That's all I could find out about that... BUT,,,, they have a really good young coach who seems to be discipline oriented. They will still be athletic and they get their best kid back (was a freshman) with a lot of young talent around him. If, and I do mean IF, they can get themselves under control they will be a contender to make state next year.

That's one thing I thought they definitely needed improvement in was discipline especially from what you're talking about what went down in Area, But I do agree with you they'll need to get themselves under control to be a state contender

MVG- If their point guard was a senior they will struggle with pressure. Will be pulling for BV next year. Something about those boys I liked, watching them play against Varnum. I hope they bounce back. Forgan would have won class A this year. Cyril too... If either of those teams bring back their core they will be the teams to beat next year. Leedey might be one one at the beginning of season. I heard their bigs are young.. Tyrone - very well disciplined team. As long as they stay that way they will be a contender. Roff - sane as Tyrone. Varnum losses A LOT!!! But I think they will contend for state. They have a really good coach. Don't count out Duke, Whitesboro, Battiest, Stringtown, Earlsboro, and???

Homesick What does Battiest bring back? Duke should be bringing some key pieces back, Regardless I like what Gable does out there, Leedey is young but Carpenter will get them into contention

If the guard returns along with the big man Forgan will be back, Tyrone brings back 1 of the top 3 Class B players in the state, they'll be back, Cyril has a core group coming back, although losing their cornerstone in Big Soldier hurts tremendously, Pittsburgh will be the front of the class in the Southeast, they return the group and prolly gain a good 1 or 2 before next season, Kinta graduates heavy but does a good job at finding good players needing a place to call home so with the young talent they'll be in the mix, Buffalo Valley will be in the hunt along with Stringtown.

Homesick...…"Forgan would have won class A this year. Cyril too". No sir, that is incorrect. Both could have made the state tournament in A, but neither could've won A. That's a clueless statement.

Not to mention Kinta sometimes gets players from Whitefield (K-8 school not to far from there), I would say Pittsburg will definitely be one of the teams to beat in the SE, We know Jensen can coach, Buffalo Valley should be a definite state contender

I asked about Battiest in another thread. This was the response:
"Battiest returns 2 starters, their two big men are a sophomore and a junior."

I think I ruffled some feathers....
Clueless? How bad did Cyril beat Ft. Cobb? I'm pretty sure Forgan got on a roll at the end of the season. I will say H-E would be a tough win for either team.

Agree on Roff. They are graduating core of their team that have played a lot of games in high school.
