I wasn't impressed by Cyril in the Empire game, Last year Tyrone competed with Leedey in the Area final last year until a certain point, Big Pasture isn't very deep but it will be interesting to see how teams will defend them from three

Cyril has 2 kids that are hard to guard. Bigsoldier is a very tough guard for anyone in the class. Ft Cobb guards as good as anyone in the small schools and they had a tough time too. You need a big man that can move to really do great job on him. I also watched the Empire and Lomega games. I wasn't real impressed with Lomega either. Very unathletic. They play hard , but man they aren't very dynamic by any stretch. Against Empire, Cyril couldnt hit a shot. Something looked up because the 2 Riverside transfers didnt start. The Hart kid was up to his antics again. Again, hes an ok player and a GREAT shooter. If there is a HORSE competition, that dude will win hands down. Varnum and Roff are the clear favorites.

Sirdunksalot You sure do act like you know a lot but let me tell you something don’t get on here and hide behind the keyboard and downgrade any kid and especially mine If you would like to talk I would be more than happy to do that. If you don’t have anything good to say don’t say it especially about a 17 year old
Saturday games..... It's when you need to be your best. No doubt Cyril will bounce, but I kinda agree with dunksalot on them being out of sync.
Not sold on Roff being a clear favorite. Coach Hurt had a good strategy for Roff that could be duplicated. Teams that are athletic, good against the press, can handle the rock very well and can play good defense can compete with them. I think Earlsboro and Kinta have those ingrediencies to beat Roff. Will they??
And when I coached high school I NEVER got on CA or any forum that talked about sports. Especially if they could be talking about my teams. My daughter and another freshman (and Me too but I don'r give a ****) were brutalized on these things when I was coaching HS (mostly from mad parents not seeing that their child was not as good as the starters). But it's good for getting info, fun in predicting games, scouting (sometimes), and getting different opinions on teams and players.
Let’s be clear I’m not the coach. I am Harts Dad and also let’s be clear I don’t mind criticizing by no means but to be clearly talking crap about a kid or any kid as a adult is uncalled for

I’m not talking about him personally, as I don’t know him. I am talking about his behavior on the floor in games that nowadays get seen by a lot of people. If you don’t want someone critiquing the on court/field behavior.....then dont act that way. If my daughter acted like that time and time again ON THE COURT, I’d get it corrected. I’d also be aware that if you act a certain way, your actions will be judged. How do you characterize the actions of that player as he was flopping & jawing the opposing coach? By the way, I know several coaches & referees involved with HS sports & the actions of this player are well known. It’s not limited to my assessment on here. But I’m curious as to how you look at his behavior while he’s blatantly, obviously talking noise to the opposing coach? Is that something you condone?

Then you talked to a different coach than I did. The video clearly shows the Cyril player walk to the Empire bench, talk to the coach, then the coach tells the official (who I spoke to) to get the Cyril player away from their bench and to quit talking to the bench. If the player didn’t say anything.......I’m curious as to why the Cyril coach pulled the player right after that?

Ohhh sirdunksdonuts I love that you spoke to an official who either was clearly lying to you or a coach was lying to the ref or to the parent. Because sirdontknowcrap let me be the one to enlighten your bullying adult self about the truth. I’m guessing you are a ref which clearly makes your character flaws of talking crap about kids behind a not well thought out screen name. So please don’t think that you are any better than any kid that doesn’t act the way you think they should. In fact, you are even worse. You are a so called adult hiding behind a screen name talking crap on kids to other adults. Shame on you!! I personally spoke to the coach!! Did you??? Oh wait ... no. You were too busy worrying about my son. I said coach I would like to know what my son said because I don’t approve of him being disrespectful to adults. He said “your son never said anything to me, two of my kids on the bench were talking to him but he never said anything to me and was never disrespectful.” So who is the liar? Wait you wouldn’t know you weren’t even there although you feel the need to talk about it. Is the official a liar? Is the coach a liar? If so who lied to who. Because I assure you I am not a liar. Get back with me before you talk crap about my kid.
The Vanoss festival has been cancelled. The Teams would have been there would have been Vanoss/Kingston and Varnum/Roff. But out of the real fear of some highly ranked teams this close to the playoffs (covid worries) they decided to forgo the festival. I don't know about the other three teams on picking up a game, but Varnum will be traveling to Norman to play Community Christian (#4 in 3A) tonight.
Community Christian is LOADED!! Size, athletic and deep for 3A. And its at CC
If Roff and Varnum play, it will be at the state tournament. I'm looking forward to Lomega/Red Oak, a potential Area finals. A first round regional match Hammon/Earlsboro and Kinta/Mt. View-Gotebo. Those winners will play in the final of that regional!!! A possible Roff/Big Pasture regional finals. A first round regional Butner/Red Oak looks intriguing. Leedey/Tyrone regional final. Whitesbor/Battiest should be a regional finals great. Cyril/Varnum in a regional finals lokks to be a good one as well.
Some really good, great matchups coming to the playoffs!!! GET YOUR TICKETS!!!!!! or web address....

"If Roff and Varnum play"......Yeah I know. I just think that's going to be the finals. There are some teams that give them both some trouble, but its Varnum-Roff as the CLEAR favorites. "Lomega/Red Oak" I love Red Oak in this one. I just wasn't real impressed with Lomega. They do not have 1 W against a ranked team all year. "Hammon/Earlsboro and Kinta/Mt. View-Gotebo" I also love Earlsboro over Hammon. I have not seen Kinta, but I really like MVG. MVG doesn't have many shooters at all, but they have a really good guard and a post man that can play a little. "Roff/Big Pasture" Roff by 15+. "Leedey/Tyrone" Leedey by 7-10 "Whitesboro/Battiest" Really good one. Gimme Whitesboro "Cyril/Varnum" Cyril isn't ready for what Varnum can do. Cyril can get hot if Varnum overlooks this one, but I don't see it happening. Cyril has trouble in the post and Varnum will win this one by 10+.
Your Hammon/Earlsboro assessment is one reason why I have Earlsboro in the big house. Kinta should be more athletic, but Mt. View-Gotebo has some impressive wins. Kinta is seasoned,,, meaning they have been there done that kinda thing. That's a tossup game to me. I 100% agree on the Red Oak/Lomega matchup. It might not even happen. Hammon does have a good win over Duke, at Hammon. I'll still take Earlsboro on a neutral court. But Duke lost the best players 3A down last year. They are not the Duke of old. Whitesboro, like Duke is not as deep or experienced as they were the past few years. I think Battiest wins this one but they will rematch in the area Saturday game and Whitesboro comes out on top.

MVG gained some experience by making a run in the football playoffs. Obviously a different sport, but its the same group of kids so theyve at least been through the fire to some extent. I also think Covid limiting capacity in these places will definitely help the underdogs, especially the ones that aren't used to playing in those rowdy playoff environments.

Current schedule shows Roff and Kingston now playing each other
Good matchup! Good for both schools, boys and girls. All four teams ranked!!! Where is the game going to be played? And is it going to be livestreamed?
