Broken Bow doesn't really have the inside power to handle Silo. Weeks had her way in the paint with 15 rebounds and probably six or seven blocked shots last night. Ellison probably does the same tonight. If Kingston shoots an even halfway decent percentage against Broken Bow they would have won going away. They only had 9 points midway through the 3rd quarter, which is very unusual. They scored 64 in the game at Dale.
Latta has had turnover issues against good teams so far. 19 against Vanoss and I think the paper said something like 23 against Byng. A lot of those unforced. I think that plays well for Dale. Dale will have to shoot it well from outside and score in transition when they get the chance. I think they will have a hard time scoring in the paint in the halfcourt. If Latta can limit the turnovers and control the tempo Latta wins.

Broken Bow has 3 girls over 6 ft tall, I’m not saying they will stop her but any team that has three 6 footers, one of which holds a state record in powerlifting, has the “inside power” to handle solo. Weeks was completely held in check until the 4th quarter. The PG from Broken Bow had 1 less rebound than weeks. Kingston didn’t shoot well because they had a hand in their face all night. I believe silo will win, but this take is way off base.
You must have been watching a different game. Yeah, the Broken Bow point guard dominated but those post players for Broken Bow only had two or three buckets in the paint all night combined.
You said that broken bow “doesn’t have the inside power to handle silo” To me that has nothing to do with scoring. I thought it meant size and defense to stop silo. Broken bows post players aren’t going to score but they are capable of stopping the silo post player.
Dale beat Latta on every level today. Played the tempo they wanted. Hit shots. Got after it on the defensive end. Out hustled Latta. And they were a lot better on the sideline.
