1. Bryce Drummond (Pawhuska) 2. Ben Harman (Cashion) 3. Karson Daniel (Ringling) 4. Kobey Stephens (Wewoka) 5. Gavynn Parker (Hooker)
I'm sure everyone else has their own opinion but thoughts?
I’m terms of arm strength and potential it’s a good list. I think the Parker kid relies too much on his arm and tries to force throw. I think he should also scramble more. If the defense is going to let you run for 8 yards take it.
Harmon is the more rounded player. Probably the best athlete even though Drummond would probably disagree. Drummond seems like once something goes wrong he kinda gets rattled.

Drummond is a way better Athlete. He won state in the 400m, got 2nd in the 200m and he also went to state in wrestling last year.

None of this track information is correct. There were almost zero track events in Oklahoma high school in 2020 due to covid, and in 2019 the only thing Drummond did at the state event was throw the discus.
Karson Daniel should probably be on a top 10 list, but not a top 5. As others have stated, almost all of this is opinion.

Ok. You win. I think the Harmon kid is the best all around player. My opinion.

How is Karson Daniel not top 5? Hes better than Koon's son who for all I know got moved to WR

Koons kid was never really the QB to begin with he was the backup last year. Most thought he would be the starter this year because he was the backup last year but that was before the Daniel kid moved to Ringling.
As I said before I've seen many teams use a "wildcat QB" depends on the play though
Koons doesn't even play on offense hardly at all. When he does he plays either FB or TE and he just comes in to be an extra blocker. He is there Starting SS and best Defensive back.

Ethan Mullins as a dark horse in this group. Easily going to be one of the best athletes in class A going into his senior year, next year.
yeah Mullins is a pretty good Athlete. He will probably finish his career as the All-Time leader in Rushing yards for a career. He ran for almost 3,000 yards last year as a sophomore and was on pace this year to go over 3,000 before his season was shortened then abruptly came to an end.

The Gilkey kid who is a receiver at Pawhuska won state in all 4 of his events his freshman year in track. He probably would’ve repeated and been an 8X champion had COVID not struck. The Drummond kid as mention only placed in discus.

I’d be careful about talking Top 5 quarterback comparisons. Especially in class a football the value of a quarterback is based on how he leads his team and based on the coaches offense that he runs.. just because the quarterbacks are in or or may not be in a pass heavy offense and padding stats throwing for 300 against pathetic competition doesn’t mean he is or is not a top-five quarterback ..it’s how the kid leads the team on and off the field ...it’s what he does everywhere that are the intangibles... so whether he rushes for 100 yards or 5 yards or throws for 300 is very subjective.. assigning a top 5 is fun for discussion but in this class of football quarterbacking is a little different animal very few class a quarterbacks do it all.. they are only as good as their supporting cast and the offense they run which is not in their control..not to mention the defense’s that give them the opportunities to have the ball and be successful.. any teams still left has a top 5 quarterback and they run their particular offense well .. the cream will rise to the top as always when they overcome the elements and other obstacles of actually playing a good team as oppose to cupcakes every week . Every quarterback left is capable of bring it home.. and worthy of a top 5 comparison.. The 4 left have been talked about being the top 4 left most of the year..these were and are the top 4 and the rest was a toss up and have been debated for month’s.. Let the chips fall where they may but December makes the Qb and the team and that’s the truth..all the other stats mean little at this point for good reason.. ..these two weeks is the mark and standard..👍. Good luck to the final four..who will rise above the elements and actual good competition we shall see.

Good for him ..if he’s good enough he’ll make it if he’s not he won’t. .D1 football is a whole other animal no matter what class you play in...I don’t remember anyone saying Drummond wasn’t good..You want to call him the best so be it.. I would agree as a senior he gets the knod but there are other good ones coming as well the Daniel kid has already been dubbed a top 2023 D1 prospect from finishing rated one of the two best kids in a QB camp this summer as as sophomore with Qb’s from all levels and classes. Robbie Allen OSU’s main beat writer seems to agree and wrote the article and did the interview so I think he has aittle more knowledge than any of the armchair QBs on here me including when it comes to future D1 opportunities.. we shall see if all that talent leads to a state championship.. as I said before stats don’t win titles..good luck to the remaining 4..
