I did change it up a lot but I think it's coming down to the last rankings, There are teams in 10-20 that are capable of being top 8 or even going to state

I’m gonna say anyone in your top 15 has a good chance to make it to state. Leflore might b better than last years state tournament team. They have a girl playing n starting that didn’t play last year.there better than I thought they was gonna b after losing 2 starters.

bigdog23 Russell Barron Those would be good matchups for them, Varnum would be a rematch of the state quarterfinals last season and Kiowa could be a possible Area finals matchup later on in the year, My only thing on Leflore is they have no depth and can't afford to have a player to go down, I would take Webbers Falls over them just cause i know they have an All-State caliber PG and everyone else but one senior returning

Hunter your right leflore doesn’t have much depth. But who is gonna with injuries n Covid. It’s a crap shoot from day to day looks like. I’m just glad we’re playing bb.
Homesick If I'm not mistaken that would be a state tournament rematch from last year
Kiowa and Whitesboro girls could be a great matchup if this happens, only question I have is who from whitesboro will guard the stone girl from Kiowa? She’s legit
I don't think Whitesboro could pull off a man defense against Kiowa. They'd have to zone them up. Stone is definitely legit. Also for Kiowa, they have another post that is around 5'10, that can play well with her back to the basket. And between those two, defensive rebounds are hard to come by.
However, to balance the scales. My question is, who would guard Whitesboro's PG? Abernathy is quick and very skilled. And Kiowa ALWAYS runs a man. Kiowa has the size, but not necessarily the speed.
I doubt Whitesboro would zone much. I do not think they have anyone to gaurd Stone. I just imagine they will try to hold her points down as much as possible and they would play good aggressive defense and try to limit easy buckets and not give the other players free looks. Whitesboro passes it around and moves well without the ball. I think both teams would have some match-up issues. I think Kiowa will out rebound them so Whitesboro would have to shoot it well to win.
Also Whitesboro has the Barron girl that is 5'7 or so and has the strength to guard a bigger girl. She plays smart sound D.She is gaurds post or guards so she would be comfortable going out on perimeter and defending. She would probably be the one assigned to her.

I know they have a new coach again this year. But all I've seen from Whitesboro in the past is a zone. Typically 2-3. They also run a zone press. Looks like a 2-2-1. It might just be from the games I've seen last season. Haven't watched them this year though. They may have a whole new plan and system for all I know.
