Well regional 2 will be hard to predict who gets in as regional runner up, Latta has had their struggles in the regular season but I also can't count out Am-Po and Rattan, Oktaha and Calera could be a good matchup, Wister could make some noise at Dale, Regional 1 I'm still not sure on outside of Canute

Region 2 could get real interesting. I think Rattan can beat AmPo without throwing Birchfield, which means a possible Birchfield vs Denton matchup. That game would be worth driving to Ft. Cobb to watch.

Someone down south thinks they'll save him for Ft-Cobb but I've seem teams pitch their ace for one inning before switching out, I forget what the pitch count is

HunterSheppard......0% chance that Birchfield throws against AmPo. ZERO.
Chicksdigthelongball.....If Ft Cobb loses at home, to either AmPo or Latta, that will be very, very surprising.
I’m not saying ANY of the 1-4 seeds are a lock to go 2-0 on Day 1. Vici, Rattan, Oktaha & Byng are all capable of winning 2. But Wister is the only 3 or 4 seed that I think can get in based on the matchups. Fletcher & Calera is a possibility, but it’s a long shot

I’ll be shocked if any of the 1 or 2 seeds throw their Ace game 1. That rarely, if ever, happens because it doesn’t give you much benefit to burn your best game 1. What good would it do Rattan to throw their best to beat AmPo? You still have to win 1 more game either way. The chess match comes in deciding to push all your chips in that night? Or try to save a bullet for the next day to make sure you advance to next week

rickvaughn How do you know they won't throw him for one inning? I've seen coaches pitch their ace for inning or half an inning before swapping them out for their second option, One of my guys out west thinks Fletcher has zero chance of pulling off am upset in the Dale regional, I do agree that Wister is the only lower tier seed capable of possibly winning the whole regional one of my guys from Wister said the pitching is legit

HunterSheppard.......Just curious here, but how do you throw a kid for “half an inning”? If Rattan throws Birchfield against AmPo, they will either have to burn him against Ft Cobb (which means he won’t be available on Day 2) or not throw him at all against Ft Cobb. That means you would’ve spent your best arm......to win a game that didn’t matter? If you have one Ace, you pitch him to get you to the state tournament. That’s either to win Game 2 on the first day or on Day 2 to come thru the backdoor

Fullthrottle….Navajo over Vici? Latta over Ft Cobb? Curious as to what makes you feel that way? Im not sure a 4 seed has ever made it to the State Tourney. Youre going out on quite a limb.

Rick, I’m not sure if a 4 seed has ever made it or not. But I do remember in 2008 when a 4 seed Fresno State went to Omaha and claimed the whole thing! But to your point, I don’t see a scenario where Fort Cobb does not go, like you said.
