Rejoice @ Thomas: Thomas is overmatched. Rejoice wins this one comfortably.
Ringling @ Pawhuska: Great defense vs. Great offense. Ringling has one of the top defenses in the class (if not the best), but Pawhuska has athletes all over the field, with a great HC/OC to boot. Stroud and Pawnee both had great game plans, but both could only sustain it for a half. That is, go on long, time-consuming drives and keep the Huskies offense off the field. Pawnee blew a massage lead against them, but managed to hold on. Stroud blew a massive lead and wasn’t able to finish. With Ringling being a strong run team, they have the blueprints on tape to get it done. Question is, will they? With rain in the forecast, that should help the Blue Devils. Although Pawhuska does have turf, so the actual field itself shouldn’t be an issue. This is the game of the week in Class A, and could end up being the only game that is close. Picking Pawhuska
Mangum @ Pawnee: Pawnee will be the best team Mangum has faced. Stopping Pawnee’s offense will be a chore, and Pawnee certainly is good enough to play keep away and keep the Mangum offense off the field. Pawnee found a way against Pawhuska’s offense, and they are better offensively than Mangum is. Pawnee wins by 2 scores.
Cashion @ Barnsdall: Similar scenario as Rejoice-Thomas, but worse. Barnsdall is overmatched and Cashion wins easily.

The Blue Devils have their hands full this week, no doubt about it. Unless our good friends somehow convince us otherwise, I think we are going to ride the charter to Pawhuska. That is the plan at this point in any case. Go Blue!

I don’t believe Pawhuska offense is better than Mangum offense in my opinion. I do like the rest of your take. I think it ends in who has the ball last. I think Pawnee defense is nothing special. Do think their offense is a chore. I also don’t think Pawnee is the best team they’ve played either, Ringling is better than Pawnee!

But Mangum has been doubted all year and has continued to do their thing. I hope they continue to stay under radar.
Laughlin and his corps of receivers is a force to be reckoned with. I'm rooting for Mangum in this game! Wouldn't it be fun if we got to play y'all/y'all got to play us again in the championship game?! We're really really good defensively, not bad offensively. Laughlin and Co is really good offensively, not bad defensively. This could be lots of fun if it works out in the wash. We'll see.
Anybody know why the qb/lb #15 from Barnsdall was ejected from the game against Gore on Friday night and if he will be able to play this week?
From the OSSAA football manual, Section XVII, Subsection B: Conduct of Students (OSSAA Rule 4) “A student who is disqualified during a game or contest because of flagrant or unsportsmanlike conduct shall be ineligible for the remainder of the contest. A disqualified student shall remain ineligible for at least one additional contest before he/she is reinstated by the principal. A student who’s flagrant or unsportsmanlike conduct consists of fighting, cursing, or using foul language toward a game official will be automatically suspended from participation in a minimum of the next two games or contests that his/her team plays.”

I’ve read they won the appeal and the QB will get to play. Also read they had a 6’4” 290lb OL/DL that got ejected too but I haven’t heard anything about him.
If it’s the play I saw, that’s a tough pill to swallow. Feel terrible for him if that’s the case.
Are referees reprimanded for bad calls and is there a way to keep up with that? I’m pretty sure in the playoffs there is a ref grading the refs..
Are refs reprimanded? Get outta here with that nonsense. Refs are human and make bad calls. There number 1 job is the safety of the players. Not saying it was a bad call to eject the player but dude seriously? Refs reprimanded....these men/women are our co-workers that take time out of their day to officiate these games to make $80. Some of these officials drive 3+ hours to officiate a game. This is why there is a shortage of officials because “we the people” like to complain about how “poorly” of a job they do or we “know” the rules better than them.

Never suggested they should , asked because there was a ref there that appeared to be grading the crew that ref’d the game. Surely they don’t just put together any ole crew to work the state championship... well maybe they do in small school ball but probably not 6a .
That’s a bad deal refs are only getting 80 bucks to ref a high school playoff game . I know I pay refs 50 dollars a game to do elementary.. I have heard from refs that have worked our elementary that there is definitely a major issue with shortages . Maybe a little recruiting and knowledge about the issue would help.

During the playoffs the “crew” gets assigned playoff games. I believe the coaches grade the officials throughout the year. They might get $90 or $100 but people need to understand it’s not easy being an official yet everyone literally can go sign up and do it.
2nd week in a row Thimas goes down big early in the game and come back to take the lead in the 4th. Was down 27 to 7 in the 3rd to rejoice they now lead 28-27 in the 4th bit rejoice has the ball in thomas territory.
After Rejoice let off the gas and let thomas get back in the game Rejoice has now put there foot back on the gas. Now lead 40 to 28 after another quick score.
