First let me tell you who I am. I’m Bob McSpadden and I live in Katy, Texas. For 20 plus years I’ve published the website TexasBob.com. By far the most popular part of my website is the Texas Football Stadium database. texasbob.com/stadium/ I have a lot of fun with it and it provides a service for fans, parents and officials.

Four years ago, I did a database of all the football stadiums / fields in New Mexico. Three years ago, I did the stadiums in Ohio, two years ago West Virginia and others.

When I say all football stadiums /fields, I mean every field that a varsity team plays their regular season games including colleges and professional teams.

This off season I’m doing Oklahoma. It is not complete. Currently I have identified 337 facilities and have published 170. I hope to have all that are identified published by the season (September)

Why am I posting this now?

Anybody on a high sports board in February talking about football and coach moves etc. is who I need to know about this. I will need help to let me know what I have wrong. That somebody is the Oklahoma football fan.

Here is a direct link to the Oklahoma Database: www.stadiumconnection.com/ok/index.html You will find errors believe me. At the top of each page is a link to submit or correct a stadium listing. See an error, click the link and tell what is wrong. You don’t have to fill out the whole form but at least the facility name and town and anything else that you think I need to know to identify the facility your wanting me to correct.

The index page is not complete but will grow in the coming weeks, but I’m far enough along to share with the public.

I love this idea and love what you have going on down in Texas. I help keep up with these coaches changes under the Coaches Changes on this forum. I will look at your site and tell you the errors I see. Thank you for doing this for Oklahoma, hopefully we can get this blown up.

MANGUM, HOLLIS, HOLDENVILLE, BROKEN BOW are all WPA Stadiums I will try to find out if there is more.

Relocations:
Catoosa is going to be your Northeast or Tulsa area region.
Claremore is going to be your Northeast or Tulsa area region.
Cushing is going to be your East Central area region.
Dewey is Tulsa area region.
Morrison is Esst Central Region.
Stillwater is east central region.
Oolagah is Northeast region.
Perkins is east central region.
Frederick is Southwest region.
Walters is Southwest region.
Lawton schools is southwest region. (They play their games at Camerons old stadium.)
Cache is southwest region.
Elgin is southwest region.
Tipton is southwest region.
Both Central Sallisaw and Sallisaw is going to be Eastern Region
Vian is eastern region
Canadian, Spiro, Stigler, Panama is the eastern region
Mcalester region is eastern.
Drumright is east central
Bristow is east central region
Cleveland is east central region
Pawnee, Pawhuska is east central region
Poteau is east region
Elmore city is south central
Fox, Healdton, Lindsay south central

My Oklahoma "Regions" are not a complete fabrication and i expect some on to figure out what I used for a model. I do organize by county and counties into regions. I'm sure I have some in the wrong county.

I think I have a good start and with the help of Oklahoma football fans it will improve.

texasbob You have Lincoln in 2 different regions. I would recommend removing from Tulsa region. I would also recommend moving Rogers and Wagoner to the Tulsa region, as we have some big schools in the Tulsa Metro just across the county line in those counties, such as Catoosa and Broken Arrow. Other than that looks great to me.

Your Correct, it was a typo. I believe the listing are in the correct county. About the Regions, I'm going to stick to the regions I'm currently using. I'm open to changing the regions to another plan but not one county at a time. If you have a state map you can take a shot at what you think the regions should be. I find it hard to get anyone to agree with any regions I set up no matter how it is done. I willing to listen.

texasbob fair enough. Do you do stand alone metro stadium guides for major cities? Like Tulsa and Oklahoma City. Thats's all I was really getting at was keeping the metro area stadiums together for easier access and clear up any confusion.

I can and I may. One I have done in the past. There are defined "metro" areas. I'll look into it. My first pass was to make the regions page to be a reasonable length. I have carved out the metro areas and I think it was a good idea.

I've add two more fields not included in my original research.

Rejoice Christian Stadium and

Regent Stadium I need a picture of this field. If you have one or take one please send it to bob@texasbob.com be sure and include the stadium name city and state. That helps a lot because I manage of 3000 listings from several states.

Also please review the stadiums I listed above and check for mistakes. If there are any please let me know.

The success and accuracy of this site greatly depends on feedback from football fans.
