If Thomas doesn’t fumble four times last night and give up kick return for TD they would still be playing, five turnovers and a special teams mistake too much too overcome.
They had the *potential* to be very good, but potential is not the same thing as as actuality. I do thank you for admitting you probably made a mistake overstating their lack of prowess. You were right and I was wrong in all of that, and of course I had been hoping all along for the best out of this team. But I also knew, and stated it several times, that we were kind of 'up against it' due to... less than favorable circumstances. I hope we will do better next year! I think we probably will with it being Koons's second year, a big senior class and a bunch of returning starters and all of that. But we'll see.
