Wichita have have you SEEN Poteau play this year? If you have I'll take your analysis a little more seriously.
I really don't have too see them play. Statistics and the reports of others don't lie. We go through this year after year after year with these District 4 Teams, great regular season records, everybody saying they the are best in the state and then they fail to deliver in the playoffs, 18-32, The only district without a state championship since 2010. So it is very hard for those of us on the outside to buy in when they are always disappointing in the playoffs. Maybe this will be the year that all that changes who knows. I was expecting Poteau to be more dominate against Broken Bow and Hilldale than they were. The defense bowl with Broken Bow where a defensive td was the difference in the game and being held to 10 points offensively at home was surprising to me. Played a great 1st half against Hilldale but then had to hang on for dear life in the 2nd half. You gotta play 4 quarters. You can't get away with stuff like this in playoffs and its things like this that makes me leery of them. That said I think they make the semi-finals but that is as far as I can go with them barring other upsets. Will they beat Oologah? Probably but don't make the mistake Wagoner did and look past them because if you do, you will get beat. Blanchard or Cache will be a good test for them in the 2nd round. I am waiting for them or any other district 4 team to prove me wrong, I would welcome it.
Sozo if I have said or done anything to upset you personally then I am truly sorry. I have had the upmost respect for you dating back to CA. I have been a little confused by some of your comments this year toward me and Oologah. You haven't been the happy go lucky, respectful voice of reason on here that you were on CA and it has thrown me. Hope things are well with you. Best of luck to you and your Pirates in the playoffs.
So who are those reporting for you at every single Poteau game??? Statistics only tell a very narrow sliver of what makes a football team! Heart and grit is what can only be seen in person. I tell you from viewing every Poteau game that I want them in a street fight! The only stat that matters is wins and loses, how those look! I'm also not too sure about your true affiliation, if you are the Oologah homer you say, most friends of the program use we not they! Might you be attending some Poteau games? ET TU BRUTE
