I'm just getting back to Oklahoma and back into Oklahoma football. Had a nephew that was transferring to Wayne but those plans are pushed back because of family. I just moved back to Tonkawa and want to follow class A and the Buccs. I know they went to the quarters last season and heard they should be back. I'm not very informed on class A yet, but feel the itch for football coming back. So just kind of a guess for me but, Tonk, Cashion, Ringling, Gore, Hinton, Hominy, Christian Heritage, Fairview. Thoughts?

I know Cashion is replacing some pieces but I wouldn't count them out, Same with Ringling. Hinton could possibly be a sleeper as big as they are and dominant in the run game. Tonkawa I've been told has three RBs that can go but I haven't seen them personally. I don't know a lot on Gore but someone on here mentioned that this is pretty much their last chance to make a deep run with a large part of the roster being seniors. Wynnewood is potentially a sleeper but A-4 runs through Ringling. Everyone says Stroud is a big sleeper but I don't know a lot on them or their district.

I would probably watch A-5 and A-3 closely, Wouldn't be surprised to see a good team miss the playoffs in those two

Also Tonks halfback is the real deal. I can't imagine another runner in class A being better than he is. Who is the likely 3 and 4 seed in A5? After Tonk it's Hominy from the things I have read, but not sure after that. I do know that the district is going to be difficult for the 3rd and 4th seed, but not sure what the make up of those teams are.

A-3 has Cashion, Hinton, Minco, Watonga, CHA and Crescent. Someone on here said Watonga was down and I haven't seen Crescent or Minco but I do know that CHA has some good players and I heard Hinton was huge and had a good ground game

A-5 is the buzzsaw district with Woodland, Morrison, OKU, Pawnee and that bunch along with Tonkawa. I would think Woodland would be the favorite in A-5 seeing they bring everything back, I know they are balanced though Tonkawa seems a little one dimensional but I guess whatever floats your boat there

Colcord is no longer in A8....A8 picked up a few 2A drop downs (Pocola, Panama, and Haskell I believe).

It'll be a conundrum for Gore. Their starting lineup won't get to play a full game the entire season and who knows how competitive Pocola will be. They could literally be up 30-40 points by halftime on most of the A8 teams. Who knows, it might benefit them in the playoffs since they should have a healthy, well rested team.

As far as A-5, can't count out Morrison. Every year I have said we were gonna be down, we make a run. We lost a lot of skill players but the line is still intact on both sides of the ball. The young QB can sling it and the receivers seem to have good hands, hopefully we will be more balanced this year, but it is Morrison. The young backs have speed, we'll see if they are mature enough to use that veteran line the way it is drawn up.

Ringling and Cashion still at the top. CHA was terrible last year, but will prob finish second in district. Gore finally gets over the hump this year and makes a deep run.

BFDC??? Not sure about them.

Fairview should be pretty solid. May surprise some people.

Wayne has a young roster this year, but has some solid playmakers. Numbers are down from what I’ve heard over there.

I don't think anyone should sleep on Minco. They have a dynamite Sophomore RB that played last year as a freshman, a really good QB in Reed McMurtrey that was all District as a sophomore and an great Jr. WR named Ben Burchfield. They could definitely be a sleep to make a deep playoff run if they stay healthy.

I can't believe I'm saying this but Cashion is down big time. They gonna be fighting for a playoff spot this year.

I knew they would take a step back with all the talent they lost especially at the skill positions but they did not look good at all tonight. There broadcast commentators didn't seem to confident in there team being very good this year either.

It's Cashion, they will regroup and fare well against district competition. Watched the Gore game and as expected, they had their starters out with a few minutes left in the 2nd quarter. The defense looked absolutely dominant allowing just one first down thru the half if I recall. New QB can throw the ball very well.

Cashion will be just fine. The difference between Class A and 2A is a big one and Rejoice is going to be near the top of 2A when it’s all said and done. I mean Rejoice beat Cashion last year and Rejoice wasn’t nearly as good as they are this year.
Watonga destroyed Thomas, despite someone on this thread saying Watonga looked down. Minco had a good win, Hinton destroyed as well, and Crescent defense was dominant. CHA is typically overrated. In their four season in Class A, they missed the playoffs twice. OCS controlled that game defensively, and new coaching staff has yet to prove they know what they are doing. As a Watonga fan I’m trying to be subjective but I say Cashion still wins the district, followed by Hinton, and then CHA, Minco, Watonga battle it out.
