Class B Second Round Predictions

BF-DC upsetting Shattuck is laughable honestly cause Shattuck has a strong defense

I think Shattuck wins by 14, Davenport wins by 20 and Alex beats Laverne by 4

I'd agree, I'd like to see only the top 2 teams in each Class B district make the playoffs. Kind of crazy that only 1 or 2 teams in each district don't make the playoffs. It should be that just making the playoffs means something, not that you just beat a weak team or two.

There's some coaches that are wanting to go to a running clock instead of the mercy rule. It gets more reps in for the ones that have subs, and refs are becoming an issue with the rule too. They have been throwing very questionable flags to call back tds that would keep a 45 from happening, or not throwing obvious penalties for the team that's up to help them get to 45. Not going to say that there's a huge epidemic of this going on, but its happening often enough to have some coaches wanting to go to the running clock so they don't have to deal with that anymore.

And there's a district or two where the 5th place team is better than the 4th best team of another district. There's only 1 or 2 in each district not making it, why not just do like basketball and let everyone in the playoffs? Really though, there might be some decent teams left out of the playoffs, but a trip to the playoffs should be earned, like it would be with only 2 teams per district making it. The way it is right now you could win 1 game and make the playoffs. That's not earning it. The playoffs are about finding a state champ, not who can go get 45ed first round.
