Barnsdall up 26-7 on Commerce, I had a feeling Barnsdall was going to pose some problems for Commerce. Don’t recall the last time the Panthers have won a playoff game, Barnsdall beat Tonkawa for the first in god knows how long (I’ll have to do some research.)
I was wrong about this one. Both defenses played better than what I thought. Anybody get to watch this game? Did dibble control time of possession with the run game?

Man, late 90’s early 2000 maybe. Seem like I remember Barnsdall and Tonkawa shooting it out around that time for the district.
Only one private school through to the 2nd round. Im not a hater of the privates but it’s good to see a bracket full of good old small school publics. Looks like an 1980’s bracket.
Absolutely correct, Hobart moved the ball but the turnover big bit them hard last night.
And Texhoma is just a better team than Hobart.
Yeah totally agree. I mean just a couple weeks ago someone said Hobart would blow out Frederick and they ended up losing that game 28-6. I just don't think Hobart was as good as what their record showed because of the district they were in. Playing in a bad district can cover up some flaws that tend to show up once the playoffs start. Saw it from Ringling the last couple years to.

Funny you should say that. I watched the Hobart-Frederick game in entirety very early this morning (it's available on YouTube, for anyone interested), and sometime in the fourth qtr the announcers (Hobart faithful) speculated they thought their weak schedule had I'll-prepared them for the game, and had given all the Hobart faithful a fale sense of how good they really were. Given that they are in the same district and therefore play the same teams (with exception of their non-district schedules, of course), I did a doubletake at the speculation and went, "huh?" Lol.

Hobart outgained Texhoma in every offensive category but turnovers and the score. I strongly doubt that Texhoma is a better team than Hobart. Now a better team when Hobart fumbles 4 times, 2 in the red zone? Absolutely.

Love is God's grace made actionable. I pray for a complete season for as many of our kids as possible.

Absolutely. Excuse making. And Frederick had gone longer at that point without a game of consequence than Hobart. They played Mangum the week before Hobart did.

Hobart’s a good football team just didn’t play well the last two weeks. It’s all about who gets hot and plays well this time of year. To many good teams out there to play bad

Absolutely agree. But I don't want to ever take anything away from Frederick(who is hot right now) and Texhoma(who took advantage of previously said turn overs). Both are very good teams that you better bring your A game against or you won't win. Good news for Hobart is they return 8 or 9 on offense and the same on defense. Bad news is every game i saw them in, they only had like 20 kids on the team. If they have injuries, could be problematic next year.

That offensive category is more than likely due to Texhoma consistently having better field position. If Hobart turned the ball over 4 times, all but the 2 in the red zone were the other two short fiends? Was Texhoma not playing defense? Did they not have anything to do with the turnovers? Was Hobarts defense so bad they gave up 32 points? Did Texhoma’s special teams out play Hobart? C’mon...I know you’re not this naive to think a team that gets by three scores is better than the other. Texhoma is the better team.

Friday night, yes they were the better team. And I said I don't wanna take anything away from Texhoma. Look at all the posts. But Hobart is gonna beat that Texhoma team 9 out of 10 times. Hats off to outplaying Hobart the one time it matters. 1 was a forced fumble. I'll give you that one.
